2. Measure battery voltage. Normal: >5.5V.

4. If battery voltage is lower than 2.0 and will not
recharge, discard it.

The reed switch signal is not being received by

1. Inspect the heart rate transmitter strap and its
battery. Replace the battery if it has been used
for a long time.
2. Inspect the heart rate receiver cable
connection.
1. Test or replace the heart rate receiver board.
2. Inspect the environment for interference
from speakers, lights, etc.

electro-magnet is stuck on the flywheel.

Exercise on the unit; the

1. Measure battery voltage. If voltage is below
2.5V and battery will not recharge, replace
the battery.
2. Inspect the drive board fuse.
3. To recharge the battery, exercise intensity
must be over 40 strides/minute.
4. Inspect whether the battery recharge
indicator LED on the drive board lights. If
not, the drive board is bad.

Troubleshooting
Model: E822
Malfunction: No start (alternator)
Circumstance: Exercise on the unit. The display doesn’t light.
Possible cause: 1. Cables are not connected.
2. Drive board is malfunctioning.
Troubleshooting: 1. Inspect cable connections.
2. Inspect drive board connections and fuse F1.
3. Inspect whether the PWR LED on the drive board
lights and whether the CLK indicator flashes.
4. Inspect cable connections to the display board
and make sure the program IC is connected properly.

Troubleshooting
Model: E822
Malfunction: No start (battery)
Circumstance: Do not exercise on the unit. Display shuts off.
Possible causes: 1. Cables are not connected.
2. Battery voltage is too low.
Troubleshooting: 1. Inspect cable and bridge board connections.
2. Inspect battery voltage. Normal battery voltage: > 5.5 VDC.
3. Inspect the F2 fuse on the drive board.
4. If battery voltage is below 5.5 VDC, exercise on the unit
at 50 STRIDE/MIN to recharge the battery.

Malfunction: No stride/minute value appears.
Circumstance: 1. Stride/minute values do not appear.
2. Exercise on the unit. The display shows no reaction.
Possible causes: 1. Reed switch/magnet system is malfunctioning.
2. Cables are not connected.
Troubleshooting: 1. Inspect all cable connections.
2. Inspect the reed switch and magnet.
3. Inspect the drive board CLK indicator.
4. Inspect the display program IC connection.

Circumstance: Exercise on the product; resistance is excessive.
Possible cause: 1. Cables have an electrical short.
2. Drive board components have an electrical short.
Troubleshooting: 1. Inspect cable connections.
2. Inspect whether cables have been pinched.
2. Inspect IGBTs for an electrical short.
3. Replace the drive board.

Malfunction: No telemetry heart rate signal reception
Circumstance: Wireless telemetry heart rate malfunction
Possible cause: 1. Telemetry strap battery voltage is too low.
2. Heart rate receiver is malfunctioning.
3. There is environmental interference, for instance,
from items such as lights or speakers.
Troubleshooting: 1. Replace the transmitter strap or its batteries.
2. Inspect the receiver cable connections.
3. Inspect HTR board LEDs.
