Instruction
ECL 3050
ECL 3050 set includes:
- hot water controller ECL 3050
- Interface cable wired between boiler
and controller (230 V a.c.)
- Terminal strip (low voltage)
connected to boiler sensor
- hot water service sensor
Note:
Use only sensors included in this set.

Function
ECL 3050 controls hot water service
temperature in hot water tanks and
circulating pump for room heating.
The controller monitors the hot water
service temperature and cuts-in boiler
and hot water pump until set
temperature is reached.
Relay outputs are controlled according
to function-switch settings. Circulating
pump for room heating is switched-off at
hot water service demand to transfer
max. heat to the hot-water tank (hot
water priority). The controller is "priority"
set ex factory, however this setting can
easily be cancelled.
ECL 3050 uses room-temperature
sensor-input for circulating pump
control.
The circulating pump has pump re-run to
prevent boiler overheating, i.e.
accumulated heat is transferred into the
heating system. Circulating pump re-run
is always automatically set twice as high
as the adjustable hot water pump re-run
setting.
Analog clock for hot water service time-
control is optional.

b) User guide
c) Function switch
Controller not operating. Built-in
frost protection keeps hot water
tank temperature at min. 6°C
Hot water service temperature

Hot water service temperature
control according to hot water
service temperature settings. When
analog clock is connected - clock
program can be overridden.
Hot water pump and circulating
pump are constantly cut-in. Boiler
and boiler max. thermostat
(pos. d, page 4) constantly cut-in.
Circulating pump cut-out.
Boiler and hot water pump cut-in at
hot-water-service demand.

Tip out and remove the control cover
plate with a screw driver and another 3
functions are accessible.
Installer settings
d) Max. boiler temperature
Potentiometer for max. boiler
temperature setting at hot water service
demand. When set max. temperature is
exceeded, burner is cut-out.
Setting range 70 - 90°C
Ex factory setting 80°C
e) Pump re-run
Time set pump re-run transferring
excess heat to hot water tank to avoid
boiler overheating after hot water service
demand. After re-run circulating pump is
cut in again.
Setting range: 30 sec. to 10 min.
Note: Re-run time settings influence
circulating pump re-run, as circulating-
pump re-run setting is always double as
high as adjustable hot water pump re-
run setting.
Ex factory re-run is set to 4 min.
f) Hot water service priority control
Ex factory ECL 3050 is set for hot water
service priority-control. At hot water
service demand the circulating pump is
cut-out and the hot-water pump is cut-in.
Priority control can be cancelled by
pushing the miniswitch downwards.
Then circulating pump will not cut-out at
hot water service demand and system
temperature will follow boiler
temperature.
Boiler difference between cut in and cut
out is fixed at approx. 6 K.
Programming
Set arrow opposite actual day (7-day
clock only) and time. Set reduced-
temperature time in pushing riders
towards the center of the clock dial.
Analog clock
Analog clock is additional equipment for
reduced hot water service temperature
control and can be ordered at your
distributor.
Mounting
Dismount blank cover and mount analog
clock
Sensor test
Boiler and hot water service temperature
sensors can be tested by measuring the
ohmic value at a certain temperature
