Guarantee and Compensation
Barco provides a guarantee relating to perfect manufacturing as part of the legallystipulated terms of guarantee. On rece
ipt, the purchaser
must immediately inspect all delivered goods for damage incurred during transport, as well as for material and manufacturing faults Barco
must be informed immediately in writing of any complaints.
The period of guarantee begins on the date of transfer of risks, in the case of special systems and software on the date of commissioning,
at latest 30 days after the transfer of risks. In the event of justified notice of compliant, Barco can repair the fault or provide a replacement
at its own discretion within an appropriate period. If this measure proves to be impossible or unsuccessful, the purchaser can demand a
reduction in the purchase price or cancellation of the contract. All other claims, in particular those relating to compensation for direct or
indirectdamage, and also damage attributed to the operation of software as well astootherservicesprovidedbyBarco,beingacomponent
ofthesystemorindependentservice, willbedeemedinvalidprovided the damage is not proven to be attributed to the absenceofproperties
guaranteed in writing or due to the intent or gross negligence or part of Barco.
If the purchaser or a third party carries out modifications or repairs on goo
ds delivered by Barco, or if the goods are handled incorrectly,
in particular if the systems are commissioned operated incorrectly or if, after the transfer of risks, the goods are subject to influences not
agreed upon in the contract, all guarantee claims of the purchaser will be rendered invalid. Not included in the guarantee coverage are
system failures which are attributed to programs or special electroni
c circuitry provided by the purchaser, e.g. interfaces. Normal wear as
well as normal maintenance are not subject to the guarantee provided by Barco either.
The environmental conditions as well as the servicing and maintenance regulations specified in the this manual must be complied with by
the customer.

1.1 Introduction
Optional Audio
The Solaris LC40 allows for an optional audio input module and speakers to be connected to the display for a complete audio-visual
experience.

2. INSTALLATION OF THE SPEAKER SET
2.1 Preparation
What to do!
1. Remove the Solaris LC40 from its wall mount brace or its floor stand brace.
2. Pace the Solaris LC40 on a table, covered with a protective table-cloth, front facing table.
3. Remove the 2 screws on both sides, securing rear bezel to front (no reuse of the screws).

4. For the wall mounted display, remove the 4 wall mount spacers (A).
Note: The wall spacers will be reused, not the screws.

5. For the floor stand projector, remove the 4 bolts (A).
Note: No reuse of the bolts.

2.2 Installation of the Speaker Set mou nt spacer
The mounting instructions will be explained separate for Wall mounted and Floor stand.
For a Wall mounted Solaris LC40
1. Slide (4x) a wall mount spacer together with a speaker mount spacer onto a bolt of 55 mm.

2. Insert the 4 bolt-spacers assemblies into the Solaris LC40 suspension holes and secure by tightening the bolt.
For a Floor stand Solaris LC40
1. Slide (4x) a speaker mount spacer onto a bolt of 55 mm.

2. Insert the 4 bolt-spacer assembly into the Solaris LC40 suspension holes without tightening the bolts.
Note: The bolts will b e tightened after the Solaris LC40 has be en hooked up onto the floor stand.
2.3 Installation of the Speaker Set

1. Open the fixation lock on the speaker suspension by pulling th
elockspring(A)totheleft.

2. Push the open locks (B) of the speaker suspension over the speaker mount spacers (C).
3. Release the lock spring (D).
Securing the Speakers
1. Lineup the speaker securing screws (provided onto the speaker suspensions) with the holes in the rear bezel (Formerly, 2 screws
on both side of the rear bezel have been removed).

3.1 Power Connection

1. Pull the power plug out the power socket on the Solaris LC40.

2. Using the split power cable, insert the female plug of the shortest power cable into the Solaris LC40 power socket (C) and the
longest one into the power socket onto the left speaker unit (A).
3. Reinstall power connection by insertion of the male plug of the split power cable into the female plug of the main power cable.
3.2 Interconnection Speakers

1. Insert the cable, provided on both sides with an RJ45S 8M8M plug, into the respective RJ45S socket on the Left and Right
speaker box.

2. If the speaker interconnection cable is visible below the Solaris LC40, before making the connection, coil up the cable a little and
hook it up onto the rear using the cable tie, added to the kit.
3.3 Audio Signal Connection

1. Insert one end of the stereo audio cable, provided with cinch plugs, into the respective Left (White colored) and Right (Red
colored) socket onto the Left speaker box.
