Remove Existing I/P Transducer
Follow the procedures in your system manual to prepare
the 1KE system for service. See Related Manuals,
page 2.
1. Turn off the fluid supply to the system.
2. Follow the Pressure Relief Procedure for the
system.
3. Disconnect all power to the system.
4. Disconnect the fluid control cable (4) from the
controller.
5. Remove the DIN connector from the I/P transducer
(202) to access the wire connections and
disconnect the fluid control cable (4). Set aside the
DIN connector for reuse and discard the fluid control
cable (4).
6. Disconnect the air tube from the 3/8 in. swivel elbow
fitting (204). Remove the swivel elbow fitting (204)
from the I/P transducer (202) and discard.
7. Disconnect the air tube from the 5/32 in. swivel
elbow fitting (205).
8. Remove the I/P transducer (202) from the mounting
panel (201).
9. Remove the mounting bracket (208) from the I/P
transducer (202).
Attach Pressure Switch Upgrade
Assembly
NOTE: The following procedure requires Pressure
Switch Upgrade Kit 25B470.
1. Reattach the transducer mounting bracket (208) to
the I/P transducer (202) with the pressure switch
mounting bracket (1) placed between the transducer
(202) and its bracket (208).

NOTE: The pressure switch assembly may be
mounted on either side of the transducer and the
pressure switch itself may be rotated 180 degrees
on its own bracket. Select the mounting positions
that work best for the physical layout of your
system. The wire connections on the pressure
switch should face the same direction as the cable
exit of your system’s transducer DIN connector.
2. Reattach the I/P transducer (202) to the mounting
panel (201).
3. Attach the swivel elbow fitting (2) from kit 25B470 to
the inlet port of I/P transducer (202).
NOTE: Ensure that all prior sealant is first removed
before applying new sealant (liquid or tape) when
attaching the new fitting.
4. Reconnect the 5/32 in. air tube to the inlet air supply
fitting (205) of the I/P transducer (202).

5. Connect the ferruled wire ends of the I/P cable (7)
from kit 25B470 to the DIN connector previously
removed from the I/P transducer (202).
6. Reconnect the DIN connector to the I/P transducer
(202).
7. Install the wire tie (17) from kit 25B470 around both
wires exiting the DIN connector. Install the wire tie
as close as possible to the DIN connector.
8. Using the ground screw (12) of kit 25B470, attach
both the ground wire of the I/P cable (8) and the
ground clamp assembly (19), also from kit 25B470,
to the same location on the mounting panel (201) of
your system.
NOTE: Use the #10-32 hole closest to the
transducer.
9. Attach the clamp end of the ground clamp assembly
(19) to a true earth ground.
NOTE: If your mounting panel (201) is already
connected to a separate true earth ground, you may
not need to install the ground clamp assembly (19)
supplied with kit 25B470.

10. Attach the tie holder (18) of kit 25B470, to the
mounting panel (201). Choose a location close to
the I/P transducer (202), that allows the wires of the
I/P cable (8) to not be strained while also providing
enough distance from other circuits to meet the
wiring requirements of your installation.
11. Secure the I/P cable (8) of kit 25B470 to the tie
holder (18) using the wire tie (17).
12. Use the Y fitting (9) and the 5/32” tube (13) to
connect the air supply to the elbow fittings (2 and 6)
of kit 25B470. Cut the tube to required lengths for
your installation to make connections from the Y
fitting (9) to the elbow fittings (2 and 6).
13. Use the assembled adapter fittings (10 and 11) and
the 5/32” tube (13) to connect your system air
supply to the Y fitting (9). Cut the tube to required
length for your installation to make the connection
from the single side of the Y fitting (9) to the adapter
(10). Connect 3/8” air tube that was disconnected in
step 4 to the adapter (11).
14. Secure fittings installed in steps 12 and 13 as
required for your installation.
15. Connect the M12 end of the I/P cable (8) to the
same port the from fluid control cable (4) was
disconnected in step 2 of Remove Existing I/P
Transducer, page 3.
16. Reconnect air and power to the system and test
operation of the system. Your pressure regulator
should operate as before as long as air is supplied
to the pressure switch. The pressure switch is a
normally open type and should close and allow
current to flow to the I/P transducer when air
pressure is present.
