700-0474 “KIT, BROADCAST VISION, IR TO STB”
If NOT using a set top box (STB) manufactured by LG or Amino, the cable adapter box
(CAB) part number 700-0425 will need to be installed between the RJ45 cable from
the machine and the 3.5mm-to-RJ45 adapter - please refer to CAB install document
620-8504 for more information.
If using coaxial cable between the console and the STB, go to Page 14.
1. Using a #2 phillips screwdriver, remove the electrical plate at the front of the unit then disconnect any cable
inlets securing internal cables to the electrical plate .
NOTE: Please note that the instructions given on Pages 1-4 are valid for most units, a Recumbent Bike is only
shown as an example. For STB Kit install on all other units, please see below:

3. After routing the HDMI cable, pass the HDMI cable and the RJ45 cable through the opening in the electrical
plate, then use a #2 phillips screwdriver to secure the electrical plate to the frame using two (2) of the sup-
plied screws. Use the cable retention clamps as shown to secure any loose wires.
4. Connect the RJ45 and HDMI cables running up to the 15” Embedded console to their respective connections.
Connect the RJ45 cable (image left) to the cable labeled “STB IR” and the HDMI cable to the console (image
right).

For 8RDE Rear Drive Elliptical(9-6150):
Tools Required:
#2 Phillips Screwdriver
1. Using a phillips screwdriver, remove the electrical plate at the front of the unit then disconnect any cable
inlets securing internal cables to the electrical plate.
2. Route HDMI cable down through mast of machine and out of the front of the electrical plate. The routing
path is represented by the dark bold line below. Be sure to used the included zip ties to secure the HDMI
cable to the other cables inside the unit as it is routed down through the machine.

retention clamps to secure any loose wires.

the user right side shroud has been removed for clarity. The routing path is represented by the dark bold line
below. Be sure to used the included zip ties to secure the HDMI cable to the other cables inside the unit as it is
routed down through the machine.
2. Route the end of the HDMI cable out of the bottom of the FreeClimber frame where shown below. Use the
cable retention clamps to secure any loose wires.

For using coaxial cable connection between the console and STB
1. Connect the coaxial cable to the coaxial connection on the front of the machine.
NOTE: For treadmills, the coaxial cable will need to be routed out of the bottom of the treadmill.
2. Ensure that the coaxial cable from the mast of the machine is connected to the console (image left).
3. Connect the RJ45 cable from the mast to the console cable labeled “STB IR (image right). For 10TRx, this cable
is labeled “A.

4. Plug an RJ45 cable into the CAT6 port on the front of the unit. For the 10TRx plug an RJ45 cable into “Port A
(image left).
5. Plug the other end of the RJ45 cable into the 3.5mm-to-RJ45 adapter then plug the IR Emitter into the
3.5mm-to-RJ45 adapter.

Mounting the IR Emitter:
Once the 3.5mm end of the IR emitter cable, has been connected to the RJ45-to-3.5mm adapter,
the IR diode end of the IR emitter cable will need to be attached to the front of the set top box
(STB) where the IR receiver is located. If you cannot locate the IR receiver on the STB, shining a
ashlight at the front of the STB can help in locating it.
In the examples above, you can see the IR emitter mounted to the STB over the STB’s IR receiver.
The two examples on the left show common locations of the IR receiver on two STBs.
Once the IR diode is in place, install the IR shield onto the front of the IR diode. This will ensure
that the signal sent to the STB will only change the settings on the STB that the IR diode has been
applied to.

Programing the IR Emitter + Selecting Video Source:
1. Enter the service menu by tapping the upper left
corner of the screen, then the upper right corner
of the screen, then the upper left corner of the
screen again.
2. Enter code “218” then press enter to access the
service menu.
3. Tap on Tuner to enter the Tuner sub-menu.
4. Tap on “STB to enter the Set Top Box sub-menu.
5. Use the drop down menu to select the manufac-
turer of the set top box (STB).
NOTE: If your STB manufacturer is not listed on the
drop down menu, you must select “CAB” from the
menu and use the CAB add-on controller (Part #: 700-
0425). Follow instructions in the CAB box to set up
the device.

6. Select the “Mode” and tap on either “HDMI” (if
using HDMI) or Tuner (if using coaxial).
NOTE: If no channels are present when using coaxial
connection (Tuner), perform a channel scan in the
Calibration and Setup menu.
