MAHA AB 6-07 / AB 6-12 / AB 6-20 are support stands intended for the safe setting down of loads, e.g. motor vehicles, after they have been lifted with a wheel engaging lift. The device can only be operated by skilled persons, who are over 18 years of age. It must be used on solid, even ground, preferably concrete or asphalt. The rated load capacity as specified on the name plate must not be exceeded. The load must only be supported at the points intended for that purpose.

1 Safety
1.1 Introduction
Thoroughly read this manual before operating the equipment and comply with
the instructions. Always display the manual in a conspicuous location.
Personal injury and property damage incurred due to non-compliance with these
safety instructions are not covered by the product liability regulations.
1.2 Symbols
CAUTION
indicates a potential hazard which, if not avoided, could result in moderate or
minor personal injury.
indicates important information notes.
1.3 Intended Use
These support stands are intended for the safe setting down of loads, e.g. mo-
tor vehicles, after they have been lifted with a wheel engaging lift.
Any use other than described is inappropriate.
1.4 Safety Instructions
The detailed operating instructions must be referred to.
The legal accident prevention regulations must be complied with.
The device must only be operated by skilled persons, who are over 18 years
of age.
Only use the support stands on solid, even ground, preferably concrete or as-
phalt.
All load-bearing parts must be regularly subject to a visual inspection.
Lighting of the workplace is the responsibility of the operator.
The rated load capacity as specified on the name plate must not be exceed-
ed.
The load must only be supported at the points intended for that purpose.
For support stands without compensating spring:
Caution downward movement of punch! When removing the securing pins,
do not place fingers between the punch and grommet.
For support stands with compensating spring (note warning label):
Caution upward movement of punch with sudden pressure release of

spring! When removing the securing pins, do not bend over the punch and do
not place fingers between the punch and the load.
After lowering, ensure the load is securely accommodated.
Servicing work must only be carried out by authorized service technicians.
1.5 What to Do in the Event of an Accident
The injured person is to be removed from the danger area. Find out where
dressing and bandages are kept. Seek first-aid.
Provide first-aid (stop bleeding, immobilise injured limbs), report the accident
and seal off the accident site.
Immediately report any accident to your supervisor. Make sure a record is
kept of every occasion first-aid is provided, e.g. in an accident book.
Remain calm and answer any questions that may arise.

3 Operation
1 Place support stands under the lifting points of the load. Only use the support
stands on solid, even ground, preferably concrete or asphalt.
2 Withdraw securing pins, bring punch to the desired height and secure using
pins. Always slide securing pins completely through the guide.
CAUTION
Risk of injury
For support stands without compensating spring:
Caution downward movement of punch! When removing the securing pins, do
not place fingers between the punch and grommet.
For support stands with compensating spring (Note warning label, see figure):
Caution upward movement of punch with sudden pressure release of spring!
When removing the securing pins, do not bend over the punch and do not place
fingers between the punch and the load.
3 Repeat procedure for all support stands. While doing so, ensure that all
punches are at the same height.
4 Slowly lower load and verify secure contact.
5 Remove lifting device.
6 Before commencing work on the load that has been set down, recheck to
ensure secure positioning.
7 Before removing the support stands, ensure load is securely accommodated
on the lifting device.

4 Maintenance
4.1 Annual Inspection
The maintenance interval prescribed by the manufacturer is 12 (twelve) mon-
ths. This maintenance interval refers to normal workshop usage. If the
equipment is used more frequently or under severe operating conditions (e.g.
outdoors), the interval must be reduced accordingly.
Maintenance work shall be done only by authorised and trained service tech-
nicians provided by the manufacturer, licensed dealers or service partners.
In case of non-compliance the manufacturer's warranty becomes void.
4.2 Care Instructions
Periodically clean the equipment and treat it with a care product.
Repair damage to the paintwork immediately to prevent corrosion.
Do not use caustic cleaning agents or high pressure and steam jet cleaners
to avoid equipment damage.
4.3 Spare Parts
To ensure safe and reliable operation, only use original spare parts supplied by
the equipment manufacturer.
5 Disposal
If you want to dispose of the equipment, please contact your MAHA dealer or
the following address, indicating equipment type, date of purchase and serial
number:

Alternatively, you may take the equipment to a specialised waste management
plant to ensure that all components and operating liquids are properly disposed
