Work area
1. Keep work area clean and well lit. Cluered and dark areas invite accidents.
2. Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of ammable liquids, gases or dust. Power tools create sparks which may
ignite the dust or fumes.
3. Keep children and bystanders away while operang a power tool. Distracons can cause you to lose control.
Electrical Safety
1) Do not abuse the cord. Never use the cord to carry the tool. Keep cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges, or moving parts.
Replace damaged cords immediately. Damaged cords may create a re.
(The following applies only to tools with a separate baery pack)
2) A baery operated tool with integral baeries or a separate baery pack must be recharged only with the specied charger for the baery. A charger that
may be suitable for one type of baery may create a risk of re when used with another baery.
Personal Safety
1. Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when operang a power tool. Do not use a power tool while you are red or under the inuence
of drugs, alcohol or medicaon. A moment of inaenon while operang power tools may result in serious personal injury.
2. Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery. Contain long hair. Keep your hair, clothing, and gloves away from moving parts. Loose clothes, jew-
ellery, or long hair can be caught in moving parts.
3. Avoid accidental starng. Be sure switch is in the locked or o posion before inserng baer pack. Carrying tools with your nger on the switch invites
accidents.
4. Do not overreach. Keep proper foong and balance at all mes. Proper foong and balance enable beer control of the tool in unexpected situaons
5. Use safety equipment. Always wear eye protecon, Dust mask, non-skid safety shoes, hard hat, or hearing protecon must be used for appropriate condi-
ons.
Power tool use and care
1. Use clamps or other praccal ways to secure and support the work piece to a stable plaorm. Holding the work piece by hand or against your body is unstable
and may lead to loss of control.
2. Do not force tool. Use the correct tool for your applicaon. The correct tool will do the job beer and safer at the rate for which it is designed.
3. Do not use tool if switch does not turn it on of o. A tool that cannot be controlled with the switch is dangerous and must be repaired.
4. Store idle tools out of reach of children and other untrained persons. Tools are dangerous in the hands of untrained users
5. Maintain tools with care. Keep cung tools sharp and clean. Properly maintained tools with sharp cung edge are less likely to bind and are easier to control.
6. Check for misalignment or binding of moving parts, breakage of parts, and any other condion that may aect the tool’s operaon. If damaged, have the tool
serviced before using .Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained tools.
7. Use only accessories that are supplied with your model. Other accessories that may not be suitable for this tool and may create a risk of injury when used.
Specic Safety Rules

1. Use personal protecve equipment. Always wear eye protecon. Protecve equipment such as a dust mask, non-skid safety shoes, hard hat or hearing pro-
tecon used for appropriate condions will reduce personal injuries.
2. Prevent unintenonal starng. Ensure the switch is in the o-posion before connecng to power source and/ or baery pack, picking up or carrying the
tool. Carrying power tools with your nger on the switch or energising power tools that have the switch on invites accidents.
3. Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery. Keep your hair, clothing, and gloves away from moving parts. Loose clothes, jewellery or long hair
can be caught in moving parts.
4. This tool is for pruning branches. Do not use it for any job except that for which it is intended.
5. Never allow children, persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilies or lack of experience and knowledge or people unfamiliar with these
instrucons to use the tool. Local regulaons may restrict the age of the operator.
6. Do not overreach and keep balance at all mes. Always be sure of foong on slopes and to walk, never run.
7. Do not touch moving hazardous parts before the tool is disconnected from the mains and/or the baery pack is removed from the tool.
8. Always wear substanal footwear and long trousers while operang the tool.
9. Disconnect the supply and/or remove the baery pack from the tool:
- Whenever the tool is le by the user, before clearing a blockage, before checking, cleaning or working on the tool, aer striking a foreign object to inspect the
tool for damage, if the tool starts to vibrate abnormally, for immediately check.
10. Never operate the tool with defecve guards or shields, or without safety devices, or if the cord is damaged or worn.
11. Avoid using the tool in bad weather condions especially when there is a risk of lightning.
12. Don’t use the tool or perform baery charging operaons in the rain.
13. Don’t leave the tool in rain or wet locaons.
14. Be careful not to catch foreign maer between the blades. If the blades are jammed with foreign maer, immediately switch o the tool and disconnect
the baery from the tool. Then remove the foreign maer from the blades.
15. Never hold the branch you are pruning with your free hand. Keep your free hand away from the cung area. Never touch the blades, they are very sharp
and you may cut yourself.
16. Don’t force the tool to make it cut. You could slip and injure yourself or cut something else unintenonally.
17. Avoid cung electrical wires that may be hidden.
18. Always check the blades carefully before operaon.
19. Handle the blades with extreme care to prevent cuts or injury from the blades.
20. Disconnect the baery from the tool aer each use and before aempng to perform inspecon or maintenance.
