** March 809 Pump Mounting Bracket **

Please ensure that you have the following items packaged with your mounting bracket.

1 Mounting plate

1 Drip Shield

4 ¼” nut/bolts

8 ¼” washers

2 5/16” bolts

2 5/16” square nuts

Assembly:

Assembly is quite simple. Assemble the

pump onto the bracket as shown in Fig

1. using the 1/4” hardware. Position

the shield onto the top back side of the

bracket so that it fully covers the open

part of the pump motor. It may be

flipped for RH or LH installation of the

pump. See Fig 2 which shows LH

mounting position.

Install the 5/16” bolts and thread the square nuts onto the plate as shown. It is helpful to thread the

square nuts only a turn or two onto the bolts to make insertion into the t-slot on the stand easier. Slide

the pump assembly into the t-slot and tighten the nut snugly (20 ft-lb or 27 N-m) using a torque

wrench. Caution: excessive tightening may permanently deform the mast. Note that the pump head

can be removed and rotated in 90 deg increments for desired positioning of the pump inlet/outlet

connections.

It is also possible to install the pump with the fittings pointing horizontally as shown in Fig 3. Note that

the motor should be placed pointing downward to prevent liquid from entering the motor. In this

position, the drip shield is not necessary.

Warning:

Do NOT soak the chiller bracket in sanitizer or cleaning chemicals as this will potentially damage the

zinc plating on the bracket. Mild detergent is sufficient to remove soils after your brew day.
