Vent components must be installed by a qualied service
agency in accordance with these instructions and the
appliance installation manual.
These instructions are included as part of the appliance installation
instructions. Read the entire product installation guides completely
before installing this restop thimble.
CAUTION: When mounting this restop thimble use
only the screws provided. Do not puncture or penetrate
the gas vent pipe.

Tools Required:
• 5/16'' Socket Driver or Power Driver
• #2 Phillips Screwdriver or Power Driver
• Plumb Line and Cut Marker
• Saws-All or Recipricating Saw
• Framing or Bracing Material (Construction Grade)
THIMBLE INSTALLATION
1. Plumb and locate the knockout area for the vent pipe.
2. Cut and frame the ceiling joist to the dimensions shown in Figure 1.
3. Check t the restop plate and set the height of the thimble at
or above the applied height of insulation.
4. Attach the thimble into the restop plate using four (4) hex screws
provided. See Figure 2.
5. Ret the assembly into the opening and attach to the framing
with the eight (8) phillips screws provided. See Figure 3.
The thimble installation is ready to receive the vent pipe. Follow the
venting installation guides in the product manual.
