Skype Instructions for PC

1. Navigate to http://www.skype.com

2. Download and install Skype

3. Create your Skype account and pick your Skype name

4. Start Skype

5. Add Contacts

6. Call a Contact

7. Add video to the call

8. When your video call begins, it will look like this:

9. Change video layout or make if full screen if you wish. To get these options to appear, place your mouse

pointer in the video window, then make your choice by clicking once.

This is your video call in a new (larger) window:

10. To mute you microphone, start a chat (instant message) session, end video or end the call:

11. If you are having problems hearing the other person, send the an instant message while you get the

problem fixed so they know you are there.

12. Using external headphones and a microphone will eliminate many audio problems.

13. Purchase a web camera and install drivers previous to trying a video call (if your PC does not have a

built in camera) Plug in the camera and the install process will begin. Or insert the installation CD to

install the software.
