OEM Software
To determine the OEM software version on the MC17:
1. Connect the mobile computer to a host computer using the Development Cable.
2. Connect to the mobile computer using remote control software. See Remote Control Software on page 5-1 for
more information.
3. Click Start > Settings > Control Panel > System Info icon.
To determine the OEM software version on the MC17T or the MC17 with OEM Version 01.30.06 or greater:

Chapter 1 Getting Started
Introduction
This chapter describes the features of the MC17 mobile computer and explains how to install and charge the
battery, how to capture data using the integrated laser scanner and how to reset the mobile computer.
Unpacking
Carefully remove all protective material from around the mobile computer and save the shipping container for later
storage and shipping.
Verify that box contains all the equipment listed below:

Lithium-ion battery (installed in handle)

Inspect the equipment for damage. If you are missing any equipment or if you find any damaged equipment,
