1 About this document

This device manual is only valid in conjunction

with the operating instructions for the

corresponding C4000 safety light curtain.

2 On safety



Safety notes

 Use Host9Guest Plug only with C4000

safety light curtains approved for this

purpose.

 After using Host9Guest Plug you must

perform all checks before initial

commissioning in conjunction with

C4000. Read the chapter on

“Commissioning” in the relevant

operating instructions.

 This device manual must be given to

the user of the Host9Guest Plug

together with the relevant operating

instructions for the C4000.

3 Product description

Host9Guest Plug is used to reset a system

position saved in C4000.

If safety light curtains are used in a cascaded

system, the system position (Host, Guest1 or

Guest2) is stored permanently in the device

memory of the C4000. The device can no

longer be used as a standalone device or in a

different system position.

All other configured functions such as EDM,

PSDI, blanking, etc. are not reset by

Host9Guest Plug and remain unchanged.

4 Battery exchange

Host9Guest Plug indicates a low battery level

with a flashing yellow LED.

Notes

 Remove the battery before disposing of the

Host9Guest Plug.

 Dispose of removed batteries in accordance

with applicable legislation.

5 Error messages

In the event of an error, the left LED will flash

at 1 Hz.
