Product presentation
The DT290 cordless telephone is designed to be used in
indoor environments such as offices etc.
Basic functions
Switch the phone on/off
Press and hold the Back button until the display lights up/
turns blank.
Dial a number
Dial a number and press the Confirm button or press the
Confirm button (keep pressed more than 1 second) and then
dial the number.
Call a number from the Call list
Open the CallList by pressing the Confirm button. Step
with (
) or ( ) and select one of the 20 last recieved,
dialled or missed calls.
Quick call by name in the Phonebook
Press and hold the key that holds the first character in the
name. Use short presses on the same key to step between
the characters or names, you can also step between the
names by using (
) or ( ). Press the Confirm button to
dial.

Enter the PhoneBook by pressing (
). Press the Confirm
button twice. Enter Name is displayed, enter the first
letter or the whole name. Press the Confirm button twice to
dial the number.
Receive/End a call
When the signal sounds; press the Confirm button or the
Handsfree key to answer the call. Press the Back button to
end the call.
Transfer a call
During a call, press the R key to put the call on hold. Dial
the number you want to transfer the call to, (you can also
use the Find&Call or CallList menu to look up the
number in the phonebook).
If the number is available press the Back button to transfer
the call, or press the R key to return to the call.
Charge the battery
Place the telephone in the desctop charger. A filled battery
icon indicates a fully charged battery. While in the charger
the telephone is fully operational.
Lock/unlock the Keypad
Enter the Settings by pressing (
). Select AutoKeyLock
and press the Confirm button. Select On or Off and
press the Confirm button.
If On is selected, wait for 30 seconds to press any key.
When the keypad is locked the Locked keypad icon is
displayed.
To unlock the keypad press (
) and then the Confirm
button. (The keypad will be locked as long as On is
selected in the AutoKeyLock menu).
Adjust the ringer volume
Select Settings, Alerts and then RingVolume. Change
the level with (
) or ( ). Press the Confirm button.
Turn Loudspeaking function on/off
During the call, press the Handsfree key to turn on/off the
loudspeaking function.
Turn off ringer for current call
Press the Mute key when ringing.
Turn on/off ringer permanently
In stand-by mode press the Mute key. Silent on? is
displayed, press the Confirm button. Press the Mute key
turn the ring signal on again.
Turn on/off microphone during call
Press the Mute key.
Vibrating alert on/off
In the menu select Settings, Alerts and then Vibrator,
press the Confirm button. Select On, Off or
OnIfSilent, press the Confirm button.
Volume/Mute control
Adjust the volume during a call
Press the upper Volume button to increase the volume, and
the Lower button to decrease the volume.
Messaging functions
Receive a voice message
If the Voice message icon appears, press the Message key
to enter the message system.
Programmable key
Enter the MessageKey in the menu and select
Mess.KeyNo. Enter function or number to program, press
the Confirm button.
Press the Message key to dial the programmed number.
