The IRIS has an 18 step range adjustment. The controllers should be set to 18step not 255
step.
The camera can be set to various HD standards. 1080p outputs are only available as
component on the 15way Dsub connector.
Pan & Tilt Speeds
The latest versions (from Ser.No. BE_121098) all have 10 speed ranges. Both Pan and Tilt
speed ranges move up and down together.
Speed 10
is intended for fast sport applications
and has a faster reaction time but does not have feedback motor control.
Speed 9
gives the
same top speed, a smoother uptake and full feedback speed control.
All previous versions can be upgraded to the latest software version.
Blue Status LED
The blue LED on the side of the unit indicates the status of the unit.
On power up the LED will flash 3 times. This indicates that power is OK and the
microprocessors are functioning correctly.
Slow flashing (1 on and 1 off per second) - No data or incorrect data
Continuous on - System Data OK but not being addressed
Fast flashing (25 times per second) - Camera being addressed by controller

The
Eyeb
is very simple to operate and requires only power and data from any Bradley
Engineering control panel. There are no user controls on the camera. Both power and data
are connected with the single XLR4 connector on the base. The data is RS485 and will reach
about 1km on a good quality screened twisted pair cable (eg XLR3 audio cable). Power will
only reach 50m from the controller. Longer ranges can be acheived by powering locally with a
‘Y cord’ or using a higher supply voltage. (see ‘Power Supplies’ bulletin)
XLR4 Input:
Pin 1 = Ground
(Blue)
Pin 2 = Data A
(Green)
Pin 3 = Data B
(Yellow)
Pin 4 = Power
(Red)
10v - 16v
There are 2 independently buffered HDSDI outputs:
There are no external controls, everything is controlled from the connected controller.
The availalbe functions will be those that can be accessed from the controller. For full CCU
control a
Remote Camera Panel Mk3
is required.
Mounting
There are 4 standard camera mounting threads on the base. 2 x 1/4” and 2 x 3/8”. They are
on a PCD of 30mm. The maximum thread depth is 12mm for these threads.
There is also a 6mm safety bond attachment bolt. Be sure to use this if the camera is rigged
above head height.
Clutches are fitted on both axes to prevent damage to the internal mechanics and to aid rigging
by enabling the unit to be turned by hand without damage. Mechanical stops prevent the axes
being rotated too far.
In operation the pan and tilt range are about 250degrees. There are 10 electronic ‘gears’ that
are set with the speed controls. At the slowest possible speed (gear #1 and joystick just off the
centre) this will give a roataional speed of about 1 rev in 2hrs. In gear #10 with the joystick full
over the speed will be about 90deg/sec.
When mounting the Eyeb inverted the picture will automatically electronically invert when
powered up.
Tally Lights
The RED tally light is operated with a ‘Run/Stop’ command or via
the tally outputs of a vision switcher. An RCP is required to
sychronise the tally light with the vision switcher..
The WHITE ‘catch light’ is operated with the ‘Remote Relay’
command from a controller.
