Appliance Specic Safety Advice
Only touch the appliance by the handles provided.
Do not move the appliance when the fat/oil is hot. Wait unl it has cooled
down.
Keep the lid closed during use.
Fill the food basket away from the deep fat fryer to avoid any splashes.
Always place foods into the frying basket when deep frying.
Never mix oil types or fats in the fryer as the deep fat fryer could spill over.
Deep fat fryers shall be accompanied by an instrucon sheet indicang the
maximum quanty of oil or fat, in litres, to be used in the appliance.
If the deep fat fryer should catch re, do not under any circumstances
aempt to exnguish the ames with water. Instead replace the lid and
suocate the ames with a damp cloth/re blanket.
5
Before First Time Use
Remove the packaging and take the lid o the deep fat fryer.
Unpack the frying baskets and the components inside.
Clean the lid, casing, container and frying basket to remove any dust or
residues le on during the manufacturing process. (see “Cleaning”).
The frying basket is designed for compact storage. To lock the handle into
place, squeeze the two handle prongs together and lock behind the wire
hooks, allowing the prongs to spring back into place once released. Pull the
handle back towards the basket unl the handle is rmly locked into place.
Pull the cable out of the cable compartment.
Hints and Tips
Remove any food remnants from the oil aer use. Change the oil aer 10
uses.
Use high quality frying oil such as vegetable or rapeseed. Do not use
margarine, olive oil or buer; they are not suitable for deep frying as they
have a low heat/smoke tolerance.
Choose the right frying temperature for the food to be fried. Pre-fried foods
usually require a higher temperature than raw foods.
Do not carry or move the deep fat fryer if the oil is sll hot.
When frying dough-like foods, scrape o the excess dough and put the pieces
into the oil carefully.
Check the handle of the deep fat frying basket has been correctly aached.
The deep fat frying basket must not be more than 2/3 full.
Cauon: When frying foods that are moist e.g. fresh chips, ensure they are
dried before placing them into the oil. If there is too much moisture on the
food the oil may bubble up and overow.
Note: Due to the moisture content in fresh potatoes, more steam will be
produced.

causing food to become soggy and undercooked
Using the appliance
1. Make sure the appliance is unplugged and switched o. This will be indicated
by the control lamps being o.
2. Take the lid o the deep fryer.
3. Remove the frying basket and ll the container with oil/grease. Please note
the oil/grease must be lled between the minimum and maximum level

small pieces and place it on the oor of the container. DO NOT place solid fat
into the deep frying basket.
4. Put the lid back on.
5. Insert the plug into the power socket. The red control lamp lights up. Set the
desired temperature by turning the temperature control.

Take the lid o and lower the frying basket slowly into the hot oil.
9. During frying the green control lamp will switch on and o indicang the
temperature is being controlled by the thermostat.
10. At the end of the frying me (this should be indicated on the recipe or food
packaging) open the lid carefully as hot steam may be released.
11. Remove the frying basket from the oil and place it into the rest posion on
the container, allowing the excess hot oil to drain.

control panel above the cord storage.
Cleaning & Storage
Make sure the plug is pulled out of the socket before cleaning.
