GeneralSafety
•Becomefamiliarwithalloperatingandsafety
instructionsintheOperator'sManualforyour
machinebeforeusingthisattachment.
•Beforedoinganyofthefollowingproceduresor
leavingtheoperator’sposition:
–DisengagethePTOandengagetheparking
brake.
–Shutofftheengine,removethekey,andwait
forallmovingpartstostop.
•Donotremovethebagwhiletheengineisrunning.
•Alwaysshutofftheengine,waitforallmoving
partstostop,andremovethekeybeforeclearing
anobstructionfromthebaggingsystem.
•Donotdomaintenanceorrepairswhiletheengine
isrunning.
RemovingtheBaggerfrom
theMachine
1.DisengagethePTOandengagetheparking
brake.
2.Shutofftheengine,removethekey,andwait
forallmovingpartstostopbeforeleavingthe
operatingposition.
3.Liftthelatchesandremoveandemptythegrass
bag.
4.Liftthebackplateoffofthemachine.
EmptyingtheBagger
1.DisengagethePTOandengagetheparking
brake.
2.Shutofftheengine,removethekey,andwait
forallmovingpartstostopbeforeleavingthe
operatingposition.
3.Liftthelatchesandremoveandemptythegrass
bag.
4.Insertthelowerpinsofthebaggerframeintothe
holesinthebackplate(Figure13).
5.Liftthelatchesandslidetheframesidepinsinto
them(Figure13).
6.Lowerthelatchestosecurethebagger.
ClearingObstructions
1.DisengagethePTOandengagetheparking
brake.
2.Shutofftheengine,removethekey,andwait
forallmovingpartstostopbeforeleavingthe
operatingposition.
3.Liftthelatchesandremoveandemptythegrass
bag.
4.Useastickorsimilarobject,notyourhands
toremoveandcleartheobstructionfromthe
machine.
5.Insertthelowerpinsofthebaggerframeintothe
holesinthebackplate(Figure13).
6.Liftthelatchesandslidetheframesidepinsinto
them(Figure13).
7.Lowerthelatchestosecurethebagger.
OperatingTips
MachineWidth
Themachineiswiderwiththebaggerinstalled.
Byturningtoosharplyinconnedplacesyoumay
damagethebagger.
MowingSide
Mowwiththeleftsidetowardsobjectssuchastrees
orlandscaping.Donotmowwiththerightsideofthe
machinenearobjectsbecauseyoucoulddamage
thebagger.
MowingRoughTerrain
Whenmowingroughoruneventerrain,usecareto
avoiddamagingthebaggeragainsttheturf.
AvoidCuttingTooLow
Airowisrequiredtocutgrassandpropelitintothe
bag.Settingtheheight-of-cuttoolow,especiallyin
heavyorlonggrass,canrestricttheairowandplug
themachineorgrasscatcher.
AvoidPlugging
Toavoidpluggingwhencuttinglonggrass,double-cut
thegrass,rstatahighheight-of-cutandthenlower
themachinetothedesiredsetting.Also,trytoleave
onesideofthemachineoutoftheuncutgrass,
allowingairtobedrawnintothemachinehousing.
