1.2 Important safety instructions
To prevent re hazard
Do not place ammable or comb ustible materials near the chiller!
Slots and openings in this equipm ent are provided for ventilation. To ensure reliable o peration of both the chiller and the pro -
jector it is connected to; as well as to pr otect both from overheating, these openings must not be blocked or covered . The
openings should n ever b e blocked by placing the ch iller too close to w a lls, or other similar surface. This chiller should nev er
be placed near or over a radiator or heat register. This chiller should not be placed in a built-in installation or enclosure unless
proper ventilation is provided.
Projection rooms must be well ve ntilated or cooled in order to avoid build up of heat. It is necessary to vent hot exhaust air from
this chiller and the p rojector it is connected to the outside of th
e building.
Let the chiller cool completely before storing. Remove the power cord from the chiller when storing.
To prevent personal injury
To prevent injury and physical damage, always read this manual and all labels on the system before power ing the chiller.
Do not underestimate the weight of the chiller. T he chiller weights ± 240 kg (±529 pounds ). To prevent personal injury a hoisting
tool should be used to lift the chiller.
To prevent injury, ensure that the cooling system, hoses and all cover plates are correctly installed. See installation procedures.
Before attempting to remove any of the covers, dis connect the chiller po w er cable from the mains electricity for rem oval of all
power from the projector.
W hen required to remove a ll power from the chiller (e.g. during service), always disconnect the pow er from the chiller mains
terminals and UPS INL ET connector. Use the disconnect device in the building installation to disconnect the power to the chiller
mains terminals, and unplug the p ower cord at the U PS INLET connector if the UPS INLET is separately powered.
Do not place this equipment on an unstable c art, stan
d, or table. T he product may fall, causing serious damage to it and
possible injury to the user.
If the unit is s hut down, lock the power switch with a p adlock to avoid unauthorized startup.
All operators shall have received adeq uate training and be aw are of the potential hazards.
Strictly minimize the number of people who have access to the unit.

1. Safety & Environmental Information
To prevent projector damage
•Theairlters of the chiller must be cleaned or replaced on a regular bas is. C leaning the booth or installation area would be
monthly-minimum. Neglecting this co uld result in disrupting the air ow inside the projector, causing overheating. Overheating
may lead to the projector shutting down during operation.
The chiller must a lways be installed in a manner w hich en sures free ow of air into its air inlets.
In order to ensure that correct airow is maintained, and that the ch iller complies with Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) and
safety requirements, it should always be operated with all of it’s covers in place.
Slots and openings in the cabinet are provided for ventilation. To ensure reliable op eration of the product and to protect it from
overheating, these openings must not be bloc ked or cov ered. The openings should never be blocked by placing the p roduct
on a bed, sofa, rug, or other similar surface. This product should never be placed near or over a radiator or heat register. The
device should not be placed in a built-in installation or enclosure unless proper ventilation is provided.
Ensure that nothing can b e spilled on, or droppe d inside the chiller. If this does happen, sw itch off and rem ove a ll power from
the chiller. Do not operate the chiller again until it has been checked by qualied service personne l.
Do not block the chiller cooling fan or free a ir mov emen t a round the projector. Loose papers or o ther ob
jects may not be nearer
to the projector than 10 cm ( 4") on any side.
Save the original shipping carton and packing material. They will come in handy if you eve r have to ship y our equipm ent. F or
maximum protection, repack your set as it was o riginally packed at the factory.
Disconnect the power to the chiller mains terminals before cleaning. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosol cleaners. Use a
damp cloth for cleaning. Nev er use strong solvents, such as thinner or be nzine or ab rasive cleaners, since these will damage
the cabinet. Stubborn s tains may be removed with a cloth lightly dam pened with mild detergent solution.
Take into account the rated maximum ambient temperature and humidity of both the chiller and the projector it is connected to.
Always respect the most strict value of all connected devices.
Handling and transportation
The s taff ass igned to handling the load must have the required ability and experience and must be s killed in the us e of the lifting
means adopted.
Use lifting equipment of a capacity s uitable to lift and move the load.
The person authorized to hand le the appliance will have to take the app ropriate measures to guarantee his/her own safety and
the safety of those directly involved. Place the package on a s teady surface.
W hen stacking packages, the specied limits should be observed to avoid
sudden movem ents.
