pushing the cold button momentarily. Then disconnect the water feed pipe from
the bulkhead at the rear of the machine.
3. Measure 50ml of sanitising fluid into the empty filter housing and securely
fasten the filter head.
4. Insert the water feed pipe into the inlet fitting of the inline filter housing
containing sanitisation fluid. Attach a length of ¼” water pipe into the outlet fitting
and insert the other end of the pipe into the bulkhead at the rear of the machine.
5. Remove the cartridge from the filter installed inside of the machine to avoid the
mixing of sanitisation fluid and the active carbon, reattach the filter head securely.
6. The water supply to machine can now be turned on.
7. Dispense cold water until the sanitisation fluid leaves the faucet, by pressing the
correct button for enough time until the colour of the test strip is changed by the
water. Do not let any sanitisation fluid enter the hot tank.
8. Leave the sanitisation fluid inside the machine for a minimum of 20 minutes,
when this time has been reached, flush water through the machine until there is
no sanitisation fluid left inside. Replace the cartridge into the internal filter and
remove the empty filter housing from the back of the machine, connect the water
feed pipe directly into the bulkhead and turn water supply on.
9. Inspect faucet nipple and replace if cracked, damaged or if there is a calcium
build up.
10. Isolate the power to the machine, then remove the quartz spiral by undoing
the three screws on the top of the Firewall housing, disconnecting the UV sensor
and water pipe, and removing the UV lamp. Inspect the spiral for any damage
or calcium build up, if there is a large amount of calcium remove and replace the
spiral and send it away to be treated by an ultrasonic bath.
11. Using the antibacterial wipes or spray, sufficiently clean the exterior panels of
the machine, including the removal and cleaning of the WL2 drip tray and grill.
DESCALING
Items needed to carry out the de-scaling procedure:
• Rubber gloves.
• A container that can hold 5 liters.
• A funnel or syringe.
• A Phillips / Cross head screwdriver.
• De-scale solution.
• Non-abrasive antibacterial wipes or cloth.
1. Put on the rubber gloves to minimise the chance of any contamination to the
machine and to protect yourself whilst the servicing procedure is being carried
out.
2. Dispense 200ml of hot water from the machine and check that the water is hot,
if the water is not hot allow time for the machine to heat the water up.
3. Switch off the power switche at the rear of the machine and completely remove
the power lead from the unit.
4. Disconnect the silicone tubing from the top of the hot tank.
5. Remove the hot water drainage valve and drain about 200ml of water.
6. Add the de-scale solution into a container and mix it with no more than 200ml
of water as per the manufactures instructions.
7. If you are using a syringe then draw the de-scale solution into the syringe and
add the solution into the hot tank. If you are using a funnel insert the end of the
funnel into the open hot tank outlet and pour the de-scale solution into the hot
tank, this should be done slowly with both methods as adding the solution to
quickly can result in the tank overflowing.
8. Reattach the silicone tubing onto the hot tank outlet and secure it with the
fastening clamp.
9. Turn on the incoming water supply at the isolation point.
10. Reconnect the power lead and insert it into the rear of the machine. Turn on
the power switches at the rear of the machine.
11. Leave the de-scale solution to stand in the hot tank for 15 minutes. Once this
time has passed select the hot water icon and then the dispense button and flush
8-10 liters of hot water, through the machine. Taste test the water, if there is any
hint of taste to the water flush a further 10 liters of hot water.
12. Clean the outside of the machine with the non-abrasive anti-bacterial wipe or
cloth.
13. Taste the water one final time, if you detect any hint of taste, flush a further 10
liters of water.
14. Check the machine is heating and cooling the water by dispensing some hot
and cold water and checking the temperatures.
