Power supply connection
The station requires a power supply of 15 V to 30 V.
Comment: the station can be powered by the PoE network
Connection to the IP network
The connection is carried out by a 10/100 Mbit RJ45 Ethernet link.
Connection of the relay output
The connection is carried out via a 3-point terminal block providing a "make-and-break contact" interface (TRC).
If you use one of these relay outputs to control an AC or DC door release, wire a non-polarised 58 V diode in parallel on the
dry contact between C and T or between C and R according to the intended use (diode included).
Input connection
An on-off input allows the connection of a dry contact (do not supply power). In order to be activated, the input must be
earthed.
The contact can be up to 1 km away.

USE
IP address of the station
Every station must have its own IP address in the network. This address can be provided by the network server (DHCP
addressing) or configured manually. The address can be configured from a PC using the web server of the station (The
station is delivered by default with a DHCP address. If no DHCP server is present, then the station will take a fixed IP
address of domain IP4All: 169.254.xx.xx. The IP address of station will be found by the application CastelIPSearch).
Accessing the web server of the station
You can use any web browser, such as Firefox or Internet Explorer, to connect to the web server of the station. To do so,
open your internet browser on any PC connected to the network and enter: "https://" followed by the IP address of the
station ([https://ip_address_of_the_station]). You will then be connected directly to the web page for the station. Now
you simply need to enter your username (default: admin) and password (default: admin) to access the functions of the
web server.
The web server provides information on the station and allows you to configure it.
In order to access all the functions, go to View / Full view.
On-line help, which can be accessed from any menu, provides information on the
various functions of the web server.

FUNCTIONS
The washable master station is designed to dialogue, via the IP network, with other XELLIP stations, softphones, SIP phones or any
other elements that are compatible with the SIP standard.
General functions of the washable master station
Configuring a network connection
Setting up a SIP account
Managing audio communication
o Setting the level of priority of the station
o Setting a call and communication time-out
o Automatic pick-up with and without delay
o Enabling secret mode for automatic pick-up
Functions of the audio interface
Setting the speaker volume and the microphone volume
Setting the voice transmission mode (Full Duplex / Half Duplex)
Setting a noise-reduction level
Configuring the RTP port number
Validating / invalidating audio codecs
Setting ringtones and dial tones
Setting DTMF commands for controlling, for example, the local relay.
Functions of the on-off input interface
Configuring the STATUS or COUNTER input
Configuring the active status of the input (contact open or closed)
Setting a timer for acknowledging a status change (anti-bounce function)
Configuring the counter threshold
Inhibiting the input
Programmable button functions
All the buttons are programmable and can be used for:
Making a call to 1 to 10 stations, simultaneously or with a time-delay
Controlling the local relay, the relay of the station making or receiving the communication
Sending a DTMF code
Activating forwarding to a station
Activating a call transfer
Activating "do not disturb" mode
Functions of the output interface
The relay output interface can be programmed for:
Configuring the type of relay output: monostable, bistable or flashing
Configuring the type of NO/NC contact
Controlling the Start/Stop output
Controlling the Forcing Open/Closed output
Configuring the time parameters of the output
Web server profile function
You can create, edit or delete operating profiles for the station. Each profile indicates a priority for the station, a configuration of the
function buttons, a directory configuration (blacklist/whitelist) and access rights to the station.
The station can operate with a single profile or with various profiles according to time slots or according to the voice-transmission
user logged into the station.
Web server user function
The web server of the station allows you to grant, edit or remove user rights, specifying the username, password and operating
language of the user.
In the user tab, you can create, import, export and view a directory. This directory contains all the users that can be
contacted from the station.
Function for voice-transmission users of the station
In the user tab, you can create, edit or delete the voice-transmission users to whom you assign a profile. Then, a user can
log into the station using his/her username and password and activate his/her profile on the station.
Relation functions of the web server
The web server can be used to configure automatisms also known as relations. There are two types of relations:
Time: launches actions in identified time slots. Time relations have three levels of priority (high, medium and low).
Logic:
o logic condition: launches actions when certain conditions are fulfilled (active, standby, etc.). A logic relation can
include several conditions using operators such as AND, OR, NOT and XOR. Moreover, a logic relation can launch
several actions.
5 XELLIP washable master station - 604-0008 D
o Digital condition (counter): performs actions by comparing the value of a counter with various thresholds. It is also
possible to add or subtract counter values and to compare the result obtained.
Logic input functions (or flags) of the web server
Logic inputs enable two functions, specifically:
to create a logic state capable of conditioning actions in the relations.
to create a counter which will be updated according to events and according to the value of this counter for possibly
launching one or more actions.
Backing up and recovering system parameters
The parameters of the station can be fully backed up and recovered (configuration, profiles, relations, directory, etc.).
The station can be reset to its factory default settings by pressing the reset button for 10 seconds when starting up the
station.
Administration management SNMP
The station includes an agent SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) to respond to SNMP requests and to send
notifications (traps) to a SNMP manager.
From web pages, you can:
Configure different community (read / write)
Configure system data (“sysContact” and “sysLocation”)
Configure notifications (recipient, community ...)
Download “MIB Castel”
It supports SNMPv1 and SNMPv2c versions.
Autotest function
The station has several tests to validate its functioning:
Autotest “Micro and speaker”: to test the remote operation of speakers and microphone. From the page "Advanced
Settings", it is possible to adjust levels of the test following the installation environment. This test can be triggered
from the web server or an SNMP command. The test result is visible through the history of the web server and an
SNMP notification.
Autotest “keys”: the detection of a blocked mechanical button (contact for over 20s) is indicated by an SNMP
notification and an event is reported in the history of the web server.
Update by TFTP
Updating software with TFTP can be very useful when several stations must be updated.
The station is looking forward a TFTP server which provides the available software release. If the station is concerned
by this update, it downloads it and flashes it independently.
The updating software takes place most of the time when the software release on the server is newer than the one
installed on the station.
It is possible to force an updating process to a specific release of the TFTP server.
The TFTP server can request the stations to reset the current configuration, so the data partition is cleared.
It is possible to configure the station to detect a new release when the station is starting or cyclically.
Backup on power failure
When a power failure occurs, the station must be able to backup the following:
counter values
History
secured events (these events are defined in VDIPServeur)
The states of interfaces
