UK and EU Guarantee
Your new Andrew James product comes with a 24 month guarantee and a 2 year xed
warranty, eecve from receipt conrmaon. Your receipt or order number is required
as proof of purchase date so it is imperave that you keep it safe. This guarantee only
applies if the item has been used solely for the use intended, and all instrucons have
been followed accordingly. Please note this product is only for domesc use only and is
not for commercial use.
Abuse of your product will invalidate the guarantee. Returned goods can only be
accepted if repackaged properly within the original colour product box, and presented
with the original receipt of sale/order number. This does not aect your statutory
rights.
Returned products must be cleaned and returned to us in as close to delivery condion
as possible.
If your product develops a problem within the rst 12 months of the xed warranty, we
will pay all shipping costs to have it returned to us. Aer 12 months the customer will
be liable for the cost of returning the product to us. We will then pay to have the
repaired/replaced item shipped back to the customer.
If you wish to return your item for a full refund, you have the right to do so within the

Customers are responsible for any taxes applied to our products when they are shipped
outside of the EU.
All of our prices are inclusive of VAT.
Once a product has been returned to us, we will aim to repair or replace it within 30
days of receipt.
The guarantee does not cover any defect arising from improper use, damage, build-up
of lime scale or repair aempts made by third-pares. Also, the guarantee does not
cover normal wear and tear of individual parts.

When using any electrical appliance, basic safety precauons should always be
followed, including:
This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons
with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilies or lack of experience and
knowledge if they have been given supervision or instrucon concerning use of
the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall
not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made
by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised. Keep the appliance and
its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years old.
Always ensure the voltage on the rang label corresponds to the voltage in your
home.
Check the power cord and plug regularly for any damage. If the cord or the plug
is damaged, it must be replaced by a qualied electrician or a service repair
centre. If in doubt please contact our customer service team.
The appliance is intended for domesc use only. Industrial or commercial use
will void the warranty. The supplier cannot be held responsible for injury or
damage if the appliance has been used for anything other than its intended use.
Incorrect operaon and use can damage the appliance and cause injury to the
user.
Do not use the appliance if it has been dropped or damaged in any way. If the
unit has been damaged take the unit for examinaon and or repair by an
authorised service agent.
Do not immerse or expose the motor assembly, plug or the power cord in water
or any other liquid for any reason.
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or by
someone who is suitably qualied to avoid a potenal hazard.
Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or counter. Ensure that the
cord is not in a posion where it can be pulled or tripped over accidentally.
Do not allow the cord to touch hot surfaces and do not place the cord near hot
gas, electric burners or in a heated oven.

Use of an extension cord with this appliance is not recommended. However if it
is necessary to use an extension cord, ensure that the extension cord is equal to
or greater than the power consumpon of the appliance to avoid overheang of
the appliance and extension cord. Do not use any other appliance on the
extension cord. Do not place the extension cord in a posion where it can be
pulled on by children or animals or be tripped over.
Always operate the appliance on a smooth, even and stable surface. Do not
place the unit on a hot surface.
Always remove the plug of the appliance safely. Do not pull on the appliances
cord to remove the appliance plug from the electrical socket.
Never handle or operate the appliance with wet hands.
Product safety instrucons
This appliance is to be used with solid or liquid food only.
During and aer cooking, beware of steam that could escape from the appliance.
Never use food that is too big for the jug. Always remove any packaging,
aluminum or cling lm that can be aached to food.
Do not use any accessories other than those provided with the appliance as it
can damage the appliance.
The stainless steel blades are very sharp. Always handle the jug with cauon in
order to avoid any risk of injury.
We recommend you use the measuring cap to put food in the soup maker whilst
it is in operaon. Never push food into the jug with your ngers, or any other
cooking utensil.
If its necessary to remove the measuring cap, do so slowly and with cauon
when the appliance is mixing very hot liquids. Always keep your hands away
from the cover to avoid any risk of burning from liquids.
Do not touch the appliance jug when it is hot.
Check that every component is correctly installed before starng the appliance.
Always wait for the motor to completely stop moving before removing the jug
from the motor unit or removing the cover.

Electrical informaon
Please note:
It is extremely important that the wires or cores in the ex are connected to the
correct terminals in the plug. If the colour of the mains lead of the appliance does not
correspond with the coloured markings idenfying the terminals in your plug proceed
as follows:
The Live (Brown) wire
connects to the right-
most live (L) terminal
nearest to the fuse.
The Neutral (Blue) wire
connects to the le-most
neutral (N) terminal.
The Earth (Green and
Yellow) wire connects to
the central, top most
earthed (E) terminal.
Warning:
If the appliance is double insulated indicated by the double insulated symbol:
it should not have an earth wire or earth connecon.
Plug
The plug must be protected by the correct AMP fuse; this will be indicated on the case
of the plug. Only BSI or ASTA approved fuses should be used. When changing the fuse
always replace it with a fuse that is of the same idencal rang as the original. If you
are unsure about which plug or fuse to use, always refer to a qualied electrician.
Please note aer replacing the fuse, ensure that the cover is correctly ed back onto
the plug. Never aempt to run the appliance if the plug does not have a cover. If a
moulded plug is ed and has to be removed take great care in disposing of the plug
and severed cable, it must be destroyed to prevent it from engaging into a socket.
If the supply cord is damaged it must be replaced by a service agent or a similarly

A smoothie is a blended drink which can be made from fresh fruits /vegetables to which
various food products such as water, ice, milk, fruit juice, yoghurt, herbs and spices can
be added to it.

Do not put the jug, the cover and the measuring cap into the refrigerator, the
freezer or in a dishwasher.
Do not operate the appliance when it is empty.
Always use the appliance on a at dry and level surface.
Do not use the appliance to blend very dry or hard food, as this could damage
the blade as well as the motor.
When the appliance is cooking the temperature of the touchable glass surface
may become very hot.
Before removing parts of the appliance please make sure the appliance isn't
operang and has been fully turned o.
Only operate the appliance with the mixing jug in place and with the lid correctly
xed.
The appliance will not turn on unl the lip is securely in place.
Unpacking the appliance
Remove the device from its packaging.
Remove all packaging materials from the appliance, this includes packaging
materials, cable holders and carton packaging.
Fully check the appliance for any damage before use. If the appliance is
damaged please contact our customer service for replacement and repair of
original parts.

Strawberry Soya
200ml soya milk
1 banana
12 strawberries
Vanilla pod
1. Half and quarter the strawberries and cut the banana into chunks. Place into
the soup maker jug.
2. Slice the vanilla pod and scrape out the centre. Add to the jug.
3. Add the soya milk and a handful of ice.
4. Ensure the lid is locked. Turn the speed dial to seng 2.
5. Blend unl smooth.
Kiwi Tang
4 kiwis
200g pineapple
250ml apple juice
Handful of ice
1. Peel and chop the kiwis into chunks. Place into the soup maker jug.
2. Peel and chop the pineapple into chunks. Add to the jug.
3. Add the apple juice and a handful of ice.
4. Ensure the lid is locked. Turn the speed dial to seng 2.
5. Blend unl smooth.

Smoothie Recipes
Peach and Passion
3 passion fruits
2 fresh peaches (stones removed) or 1 n of peaches (in juice)
160ml low fat/fat free yogurt
1. Cut in half the passion fruits and scoop out the inside. Place the inside of the
passion fruit into the soup maker jug.
2. Cut the peaches into chunks, if fresh. Place into the jug with the yogurt.
3. Lock the lid into place.
4. Press “ON/OFF” buon and select “SPEED 2”.
5. Unplug the soup maker then pour the smoothie into a glass.
Strawberry and blueberry
8 large strawberries
1 handful of blueberries
1 sprig of mint
200ml apple juice
1. Hull the strawberries and cut in half.
2. Place the strawberries, blueberries, mint leaves and apple juice into the soup
maker jug.
3. Lock the lid into place.
4. Press “ON/OFF”.
5. Select “Speed 1”. Blend unl at required consistency.
6. Pour into a glass and top with a mint leaf and a blueberry.

Assembling and using the appliance
1. Prepare the ingredients according to your recipe and ll the jug to the indicated
markings on the jug. Do not exceed maximum marks indicated. Always ll
between the minimum and maximum marks indicated on the jug.
2. Aach the mixing jug to the base unit using the markings on the appliance. The
marking underneath the handle of the jug will align with the markings on the
base unit.
3. Place the lid on the mixing jug and rotate the lid clockwise so that it locks into
posion. The lid is securely in place when the lip of the lid aligns with the lip of
the jug and both side ngs have clipped into place. The appliance will not start
unl the lid is correctly ed.
4. Fit the measuring cap into the top of the jug.
5. Plug the appliances electrical cord into the electrical supply. Please ensure that
the voltage of the electrical supply matches or exceeds that of the appliance.
6. Press the “ON/OFF” buon. The appliance will beep and the “ON/OFF” buon
will begin to ash.
7. Select the funcon of the appliance. Refer to secon “Funcons of the
appliance”.
8. Once the appliance has nished operang, allow me for the measuring jug to
cool down as it is ed with a temperature sensor. To do this, place 1/2 pint of
lukewarm water in the jug and leave to stand for 10 minutes. DO NOT use cold
water cold water as this could cause thermal shock to the heang element and
damage the heang element.
9. Switch the appliance o and remove the plug from the socket.
10. Serve according to your recipe.

Do not exceed the maximum marks indicated on the jug.

Soup max mark– 1400ml

Funcons of the appliance
The appliance operates using either the power control buon or with the
funcon buons.
A beep will signal the conrmaon of the buon selecon.
SMOOTH– For making soup with a smooth texture.
Follow steps 1-6 in “Assembling and using the appliance”.
The soup maker will automacally blend and heat the ingredients to the pre-set
programme me of 25 minutes.
CHUNKY– For making soups with a chunky texture.
Follow steps 1-6 in “Assembling and using the appliance”.
The soup maker will automacally heat the ingredients to the pre-set programme me
of 28 minutes. Please note, cut your ingredients down to bite sized chunks or the
machine will not work.
TEMP– For cooking foods at dierent temperatures.
HIGH- For heang or keeping soups warm up to 100˚C, also used for cooking.
MEDIUM- For heang or keeping soups warm up to 80˚C.
LOW- For heang or keeping soups warm up to 60˚C.
Press the “ON/OFF” buon.
Press “TEMP” buon.
Press the “TEMP” buon again to scroll through the temperatures.
The duraon of the cooking programmes are pre-set at 25/28 minutes each. You
can manually adjust the mes during the process using the “+/-” buons
between 1-90 minutes.
You can also switch to another funcon during the process and the previous
duraon of the program will be kept.
4 beeps will signal the appliance has nished operang.

Cookie Monster milkshake
Instant preparaon
Serves 2
6 chocolate cookies with cream centers
200ml milk
2 scoops chocolate ice cream
Whipped cream
Coloured chocolate beans, to decorate
Chocolate sauce
1. Place milk and 4 chocolate cookies into the jug. Press “SPEED 1” unl smooth.
2. Add a scoop of chocolate ice cream and select “SPEED 1” unl smooth.
3. Squirt chocolate sauce around an empty glass. Pour milkshake into the glass.
4. Swirl whipped cream around the top of the milkshake unl it forms a peak.
5. Place the coloured chocolate beans on cream for eyes and nose. Place a
chocolate cookie in place of a mouth.
Iced milkshake
Instant preparaon
Serves 1 person
125ml milk
1 scoop of ice cream, avour of your choice
Method
1. Pour the milk into the soup maker and select “SPEED 1”to make it foam.
2. Add the ice cream and press “SPEED 1”.
Tip
To increase the avour, add chopped, fresh fruit to the blender, with the ice cream and
press “SPEED 1” unl blended to the desired consistency.

Chilli Jam
Preparaon: 20 minutes
4 red peppers, chopped
7 red chillies, chopped
3cm fresh root ginger, peeled and chopped
6 cloves of garlic
300g canned cherry tomatoes, without juice
550g sugar
200ml red wine vinegar
1. Chop peppers, chillies, ginger and garlic nely. Scrape into the soup maker jug.
2. Put canned cherry tomatoes, sugar and red wine vinegar into the jug. Lock the
lid in place.
3. Press “ON/OFF” buon.
4. Press “SMOOTH” buon. Allow the jam to cook.
5. Allow the jam to cool slightly. Pour into sterilised jars with plasc lids and cool
completely. Store in a cool dark place. Once opened keep in the refrigerator
and consume within 4 weeks.

BLEND (mixing programme)
SPEED 1– Low speed
SPEED 2– Medium speed
SPEED 3– High speed
Follow steps 1-6 in “Assembling and using the appliance”.
The blend programmes are automacally set at 3 minutes.
4 beeps will signal the appliance has completed its cycle.
Note: Always ensure the measuring cup is aached to the lid anded correctly to
the jug before blending.
DELAY– The DELAY buon is used to start the funcon of the soup maker at a later
me.
1. Follow steps 1-6 in “Assembling and using the appliance”.
2. Press the “DELAY” buon.
3. Set the me by pressing the “+/-” to increase the delay me. E.g. if you would
like your soup to be ready in 4 hours me, press “+/-” to increase the me. The
soup maker will begin in 3 hours 30 mins, therefore ready to serve in 4 hours
me.
4. Press either of the funcon buons “TEMP”, “SMOOTH” OR “CHUNKY”.
5. Set the me by pressing the “+/-” buon.
6. The soup maker will start automacally.
Please note:
The delay funcon can be set up to 12 hours, this incorporates the cooking me of the
soup maker.
ICE– Ideal for crushing Ice
Follow steps 1-6 in “Assembling and using the appliance”.
Press the ice buon to enter the programme, the appliance will automacally stop aer
50 seconds.

ON/OFF-
ON– Press the buon once. The indicator lights will come on.
OFF– Press the buon once more. The indicator lights will go out. The appliance will
now enter standby mode.
Cleaning the appliance
Always disconnect the appliance from the mains supply before beginning
cleaning.
Never immerse the appliance in water or liquid for any reason.
Please be aware that the blades in the jug of the appliance are sharp.
Do not use any materials or abrasive wire brushes on the appliance.
The mixing jug is not dishwasher safe.
Clean the base of the appliance with a damp cloth and dry it immediately
aerwards.
If water does enter the base of the appliance, dry the base of the appliance
thoroughly. If the appliance does not work please contact our customer service
department.
Cleaning the mixing jug
 Fill the mixing jug with water (approx. 1 litre) and add a few drops of washing
liquid.
 Heat up the water in the jug for 8 minutes on a “HIGH” cooking seng.
 Press the blend buon (aer the 8 minute cooking me has ended) for a brief
me.
 Allow the water inside the jug to cool.
 Rinse the jug with clean water and dry it o.

Red Onion Chutney
Preparaon: 15 minutes
7 medium red onions
2 shallots
1 red pepper
1 red chilli
200ml balsamic vinegar
50ml red wine vinegar
220g dark brown sugar
1 tsp mixed spice
2 fresh bay leaves
1 sprig of rosemary
1. Chop onions, shallots, red pepper, chilli and rosemary. Scrape into the soup
maker jug.
2. Pour balsamic vinegar and red wine vinegar into the jug. Add sugar, mixed spice
and bay leaves then lock the lid in place.
3. Press “ON/OFF” buon. You will hear a beep.
4. Press “CHUNKY” buon. Allow to cook. To ensure the chutney is at the
required consistency, run a spoon across the surface of the chutney, if the spoon
leaves a channel for a few seconds, the chutney is ready.
5. Allow the chutney to cool slightly. Pour into sterilised jars, with plasc lids and
cool completely. Store in a cool dark place. Once opened, keep in the
refrigerator and consume within 4 weeks.

Pea and Ham Soup
Preparaon: 10 minutes
2 medium onions, diced
1 potato, peeled and chopped
175g ham, chunks plus extra for serving
400g frozen peas
500ml ham/chicken stock
Salt and pepper, to taste
1. Place the onion, potato, ham, frozen peas, stock and seasoning into the soup
maker jug.
2. Put the lid onto the jug and lock into place.
3. Press “ON/OFF” buon. You will hear a beep.
4. Select soup “SMOOTH” funcon. Allow to cook. This will take approximately 25
minutes.
5. Serve with a sprinkling of peas and some shredded ham.

Cauon: High starch food/ ingredients like powder, our, sugar, milk and cream will
burn if they are put in at the beginning of the cooking process. We recommend adding
them aer the compleon of cooking, then use the pulse funcon mix the food/
ingredients for a few seconds. This will also prevent the non-sck element from burning
o.
Recipes
Roasted Tomato and Garlic Soup
Preparaon me: 30 mins
1 kg ripe, vine tomatoes
1 head of garlic
1 tbsp. olive oil
1 tsp thyme
1 tsp oregano
1 large onion, diced
300ml vegetable stock
3 tbsp. tomato puree
Salt and pepper to taste
1. Preheat the oven to 200°C. Score a cross in the top of the tomatoes then place
the tomatoes onto a foil lined baking tray. Separate the cloves of garlic and peel.
Scaer the garlic cloves between the tomatoes. Drizzle the tomatoes and garlic
with 1 tbsp. of olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Place in the oven and
roast for 30 minutes unl the tomatoes are dark and the skins are shriveled.
2. Add the onion, thyme, oregano and tomato puree into the soup maker with the
vegetable stock. Remove the tomatoes and garlic from the baking tray and add
to the soup maker.
3. Put the lid onto the jug and lock into place.
4. Turn the soup maker on and press the “ON/OFF” buon, you will here a beep.
5. Select “SMOOTH” buon. Allow to cook. This will take approximately 25
minutes.

Lenl and Paprika Soup
Preparaon: 10 minutes
1 small onion, diced
2 peppers, diced
2 cloves of garlic, nely sliced
1 tbsp. tomato puree
2 tsp paprika
1 tsp cumin
1/2 n of tomatoes
50g red lenls
200ml chicken stock
2 tbsp. chopped parsley
Crème fraiche
1. Rinse lenls in water.
2. Add onion, peppers, garlic, tomato puree, paprika, cumin, tomatoes, red lenls
and chicken stock to the soup maker.
3. Put the lid onto the jug and lock into place.
4. Press the “ON/OFF” buon. You will hear a beep.
5. Press “SMOOTH” buon. Allow to cook. This will take approximately 25
minutes.
6. Once cooking is completed, the soup maker will beep. Pour soup into a bowl
and serve with a spoonful of crème fraiche.

Spicy Parsnip Soup
Preparaon: 10 minutes
2 tbsp. olive oil
1 tsp ground coriander
1 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp turmeric
1 medium onion, cut into 8 chunks
2 garlic cloves, chopped nely
500g Parsnip
1/2 n of tomatoes
350ml vegetable stock
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1. Peel and chop the parsnips.
2. Add the ground coriander, cumin, turmeric, onion, garlic, parsnip, vegetable
stock, tomatoes and lemon juice to the soup maker.
3. Put the lid onto the jug and lock into place.
4. Press the “ON/OFF” buon. You will hear a beep.
5. Press the “SMOOTH” buon. The beep will signal it has started and the light will
ash on and o. Allow to cook. This will take approximately 25 minutes.
6. A beep will signal the soup maker has nished.

Thai Chicken and Sweet Potato Soup
Preparaon: 15 minutes
1 tsp olive oil
2 garlic cloves
1/2 red chilli, deseeded and chopped
2cm cube of fresh ginger
1 tsp easy lemongrass
3 tbsp. red Thai curry paste
500ml chicken stock
160ml coconut cream
350g sweet potatoes, peeled and chopped
2 chicken breasts, cut into chunks
1/2 tsp sh sauce
1. In a pan fry garlic, chilli, ginger, lemongrass and red curry paste in 1 tsp of olive
oil for 2 minutes to make a Thai spice base.
2. Add chicken stock, Thai spice base, coconut cream, sweet potatoes and chicken
breast chunks into the soup maker.
3. Lock the lid into place.
4. Turn the soup maker on and press “CHUNKY” buon. Allow to cook. This will
take approximately 28 minutes.
6. Turn o the soup maker and serve.
