SpeedUp Heat Panels
Installation of floor heating in dry installations
1
Install SpeedUp perimeter
insulation and support batten
on dry, even and load bearing
substrate.
2
Following the layout begin
the installation in one corner
with a SpeedUp header panel.
3
Next, position the SpeedUp
heat panels (CZ-pipe distance
250 mm, EZ-pipe distance 125
mm). Fill gaps and unheated
areas with blank panels.
4
Snap the pre-scored heat
panels as required.
5
With light constructions*
in rooms > 12 m
2
all perimeter
and header panels should be
glued down. In rooms < 12 m
2
it
is recommended that all panels
are glued down.
6
Where required cut indi-
vidual pipe channels using the
SpeedUp hot wire cutter.
7
Support battens in thresh-
olds should be screwed down.
8
Holding the pipe in a large
curve to avoid tension, press
the composite pipe into the
channels. Avoid lifting pipe
once installed in the header
panels.
9
Press fittings should only
be positioned between two
aluminum sheets and never in
curved sections of pipe.
10
Cover pipe work in front of
manifold with SpeedUp load
bearing steel to protect against
damage.
*e.g. where laminate/engi-
neered timber or strongboard
constructions are laid straight
on to the heat panels.
