Set Up
CHARGING THE WIRELESS CONTROL BOX

The Wireless Control Box contains a rechargeable Lithium-ion battery. It is
strongly recommended to fully charge the battery for 3 hours before first use.
1 To charge the Wireless Control Box plug the mini jack connector (of the
supplied mini jack to USB cable) into the socket on the ‘game’ side of the
Wireless Control Box.
2 Plug the USB connector into a spare USB port on your XBOX.
3 The LED will glow red when charging. (Note: the XBOX must be turned on and
not in standby mode for the headset to charge).

XBOX 360® WITH A/V CABLES
(Without HDMI)
1 Connect the AV RCA Cable into the back of your XBOX console.
2 Plug the USB connector of the Gioteck Wireless Receiver into a spare
USB port on your console.
3 Connect the Mini Jack end of the provided RCA/Mini Jack Cable into the
corresponding socket on the Gioteck Wireless Receiver.
4 Connect the AV RCA RED/WHITE connectors into the corresponding sockets
on the RCA/Mini Jack Cable coming from the Gioteck Wireless Receiver.
5 Plug the Yellow VIDEO connector into the Video IN socket of your TV/Monitor.
6 Turn on your console and make sure that your controller is wirelessly
connected to your console (do not leave the controller charging or it may
transfer electrical noise into your headset).

7 Plug the short Mini Jack Cable into the corresponding socket on the
Wireless Control Box.
8 Plug the other end of the short Mini Jack Cable into your controller.
9 Turn the Wireless Control Box ON
(The power switch is on the ‘game’ side of the Wireless Control Box).
10 Press and hold the mute button for 5 seconds.
11 The Wireless Receiver (A) and Wireless Control Box (B) LEDs will flash
repeatedly until paired solid LED.
12 Make sure the microphone is not set to mute.
13 Go to XBOX Dashboard > Settings > Preferences > Voice.
14 Set the desired volume for the Game Sounds and Voice.
15 Set Voice Output to: Play through Headset.
16 You should now hear the sounds made by the XBOX through your headset.
17 To test the microphone go to messages and record and play back a message.

1 Connect the AV RCA Cable to the back of your XBOX console.
2 Plug the USB connector of the Gioteck Wireless Receiver into a spare

4 Connect the Mini Jack end of the provided RCA/Mini Jack Cable into the
corresponding socket on the Gioteck Wireless Receiver

You need the following cables for this set up option:
1. HDMI CABLE (not supplied) 2. AV RCA ADAPTOR (not supplied)
Unfortunately the design of the AV cable supplied with the XBOX does not allow for the
simultaneous use with an HDMI cable because the shape of the AV connector covers the
HDMI socket. Microso produces a cable adaptor such as the one shown in this link to solve

PLEASE NOTE: There are no settings in the XBOX preferences to redirect or stop the audio signal
coming through the HDMI output. To stop the audio playing through your TV/Monitor whilst you are
using the headset, you will have to place your TV/Monitor in mute mode.

You need the following cable for this set up option:
1. HDMI CABLE (not supplied)
N.B. Your TV/monitor will need to have Audio Out (RED/WHITE) sockets. Most, but not all TVs/
Monitors have RED/WHITE Audio IN and YELLOW Video IN sockets but not all TV’s,and even
fewer monitors have RED/WHITE Audio OUT sockets!
1 Connect the HDMI lead between your XBOX Console and TV/Monitor.
2 Plug the Gioteck Wireless Receiver USB connector into a spare USB port on
your XBOX 360.
3 Connect the Mini Jack end of the provided RCA/Mini Jack Cable into the
corresponding socket on the Gioteck Wireless Receiver.
4 Plug the RED/WHITE Connectors of the provided RCA/Mini Jack Cable into
the Audio OUT RED/WHITE sockets on your TV/Monitor
Please note that you may need to make some adjustments to your TV/Monitors
settings to enable the audio to come through the headset (Consult your TV
manual)
Then proceed as HDMI Option 1, Instructions 6 17.
