Weatherproof and vandal-resistant design
Clear polycarbonate dome with black interior insert
1/4” or 1/3” CCD B/W or colour board camera with various functions
Easy to mount for interior or exterior use
2. Safety Instructions
The instructions below must be followed for your own safety.
Please read the safety instructions and operating instructions before connecting the device and putting it into
operation.
Keep the operating instructions safe for use at a later date.
Never operate the camera outside of the specications as this may prevent the camera functioning.
Never point the camera towards the sun with the lens open as this may prevent the sensor functioning.
When laying the connection cable, it is essential to follow the instructions below: the cable must be laid in such
a way that it is not strained, bent or damaged and no moisture can penetrate.
Installation and maintenance of the system may only be carried out by persons with appropriate authorisation
for this and in accordance with the installation instructions – taking into account all the applicable standards and
guidelines.
The installer is responsible for maintaining IP 66/67.
Only use rust-proof screws should be used to mount the housing and camera outside.
Only original spare parts from the manufacturer may be used with the „eneo camera package”.
Maintenance:
In order to get a clear picture, it is necessary to clean the dome regularly.
Wipe it with a soft, damp cloth.
Never clean the housing and dome with thinner, petrol or a scourer as this could cause permanent damage
to the surface.

6. Description of the Possible Settings for Various Camera Packages
SW1 and SW2LEVEL PHASE
SW1 / SW2
DSS / DN / IR / NOR
Level and phase
control (A, B)
For
camera package
LEVEL potentio-
meter control
IRIS VKC-1324/WDDG1/2
VKC-1326/WDDG1/2
VKC-1327/WDDG1/2
VKC-1414/WDDG1/2
Iris control. Correct using potentiometer control for very
over-exposed images or where the contrast is too low.
Adjust using test image (min. 3,000Lux) and oscilloscope
to 1Vp-p signal.
PHASE potentio-
meter control for
vertical phase
PHASE VKC-1326/WDDG1/2
VKC-1327/WDDG1/2
Potentiometer control to adjust the phase for mains
synchronisation.
Adjustment to the same phasing when using several
cameras avoids disruptive post-synchronisation of the
monitor when using video change-over switches
(only possible with models with AC supply voltage).
DSS, digital slow
shutter and
integrated picture
store (C)
For
camera package:
VKC-1326/WDDG1/2
The DSS (Digital Slow Shutter) can be activated or
deactivated using SW1. When the DSS is activated, the
number of pictures to be saved (x 8/x 16, integrated
picture store) can be set using SW2.
SW1 up (NOR) NOR (off) DSS deactivated, i.e. the dome camera acts like a normal
camera.
SW1 down (ON) DSS (ON) In this DIP switch position, the digital slow shutter is
activated (i.e. when the light intensity decreases, the slow
shutter is started (the video level rises).
SW2 up (SW1
must be at DSS)
x32 Digital slow shutter with 16 x picture store
SW2 down (SW1
must be at DSS)
x16 Digital slow shutter with 8 x picture store
DN, day/night
switch, IR mode
(C)
For
camera package:
VKC-1326WDDG1/2
Day/night switch SW1 can be set to ON (DN) or OFF (NOR).
The IR cut lter SW2 may be moved to ON (IR) or OFF
(NOR).
SW1 up (NOR) NOR (off) In the NOR (up) setting, the camera works like a normal
camera and does not change to night mode.
A B C
18
19
SW1 down to ON
(DN)
DN (on) In the ON setting, the day/night mode is deactivated and
the camera automatically switches between day and night
mode depending on the light intensity. If the light intensity
is less than half the video level, the camera switches to
night mode, removes the optic lter (to obtain a higher
video level) and switches to black/white mode.
In night mode, the camera uses realtime black/white
video and also absorbs IR light. When the light becomes
brighter again, the camera automatically changes back to
day mode, replaces the optic lter again and switches to
colour mode.
IR, IR operation
(C)
For
camera package:
VKC-1326/WDDG1/2
SW2 up (NOR) NOR The IR operation switch is a very special feature in
comparison with other cameras.
If the IR operation switch is set to NOR (up), the camera
switches from night to day mode and replaces the IR cut
lter if the video level exceeds a value of approximately
70 IRE.
This is the normal state and it is assumed that NO IR light
is used and a video level exceeding 70 IRE is reached with
natural light only.
SW2 down to ON
(IR)
IR (on) If the IR operation switch is set to IR (ON), the camera
switches from night to day mode and replaces the IR cut
lter as soon as a video level exceeding 85 IRE is reached.
This is the IR operation and it is assumed that IR lighting
is used and a video level exceeding 85 IRE is reached with
a combination of IR light and natural light.
The purpose of the IR operation switch is to prevent the
camera constantly switching between day and night mode.
