Important Safety Instructions
To prect people and equipment against hazards, ensure no live wires are touching the case
and sucient ventilation by placing the NVR in a cool & dry & undusty place with the vents
unblocked.
Different jurisdictions have specific laws regarding the use of surveillance cameras and
wireless equipment. Therefore, the user must be aware of all applicable laws that restrict or
limit the use of security cameras & comply with those laws.
Modifications made to the Camius device n approved expressly by the party responsible for
compliance could void the warranty. Visit camius.com/warranty for warranty terms.
The following diagram shows all possible connections; different models may have her ports.
A minimum setup requires connecting power, HDMI, a Mouse, a Network Connection, and a
camera. The NVR only supports proprietary wireless IP cameras via the included antenna.

Description
Inserting a charged battery will produce an audible
confirmation, to charge it, use the provided USB cable or the
optional solar panel.
Press and hold for 3 seconds to enter pairing mode and to
pair the camera with the NVR.
Lens - This is the camera lens.
Passive Infrared sensor for mion detection.
Turns on when low light is detected, brightening up
the foage in dark environments.
Two bright LEDs, illuminate and deter, can be scheduled
at certain times with mion, or manually.

Turn on the NVR by plugging in the included
power supply.
During the Camius loading screen, the NVR
detects the monitor connected to the HDMI port,
and a message will appear if a higher output
resolution is available.
On the ne screen (see right):
Select the desired menu Language.
The administrator username is ‘admin’
Password requirements: 8-16 characters, and
optionally, a lowercase, an uppercase, a digit, and
a special character.
Unlock pattern is optional for easy access:
Click on the pencil icon ‘to Draw’ and set your
unlock pattern, then click ‘Apply’.

Most routers are DHCP enabled, so unless you have a custom IP
configuration, we recommend keeping the DHCP box checked.
The router will automatically assign network parameters to the NVR.
The IP address gets assigned to the NVR on the local network.
The subnet mask typically assigned is 255.255.255.0
The Gateway and DNS are typically your router's IP address.
Web Ports: (HTTP/HTTPS/RTSP) is 80 by default, and the 'Client' port is 9000 by default.
Unlock the NVR using the newly created password
If the password is lost, press and hold the reset button illustrated on the Connection
Diagram for 10 seconds, aer the audible confirmation, the NVR will reset all settings,
including the password. Resetting will n erase recorded foage on your hard drive
unless set under Setup >> System >> Maintenance >> Reset settings >> Check “Format
HDD”.

Startup Wizard >> Date and Time
Synchronizing your NVR's internal clock with
your local Date and Time is essential; here are
the steps:
1- Set your local time zone relative to GMT, for
example, with Daylight Saving On:
{PST Pacific: GMT-7} {MST Mountain: GMT-6}
{CST Central: GMT-5} {T Eastern: GMT-4}
2- Set the date, time, and formats.
3- We recommend enabling NTP (Network
Time Procol), which synchronizes date &
time over the Internet. Click the checkbox,
choose one of the servers, and click Update
Now.
4- Enable DST for Daylight Saving
Time.
Once done, click Ne.

Startup Wizard >> Disk
If your NVR came with a pre-installed Hard Disk Drive,
it would appear on the Disk screen.
If the status is Normal, click Ne. Otherwise, click in
the HDD checkbox and then 'Format HDD.' We recom-
mend having 'Overwrite' set to 'Auto.'
Enter the NVR's password to confirm.
Individual camera Micro-SDs also appear in this section
and can be formatted by clicking on the SD icon.
To physically install or replace an HDD, power off
the unit, then remove the 5 side screws, remove
the cover and the HDD screws. Then, plug the
HDD in using the data & power connectors.
SATA HDD and SSD are compatible.

Startup Wizard >> Mobile
This screen displays the NVR's P2P ID.
To access the NVR remely, you can scan the
QR code with your Camius View app.
On the summary screen, click on 'Don't show this window ne time' if you don't wish to display the
Wizard on the ne rebo, and finally, click on the finish button to save.

Mouse buttons on the NVR
1- The le click: While in split-screen view, double-click on an active camera to
view it in ll-screen, double-clicking again returns the view to split-screen
2- The right-click: While navigating menus and dialogs, right-clicking goes
back a step, and during live view, right-clicking brings up the menu bar.
3- The scroll wheel: While in ll camera view, zooms in and out.

Adding your NVR to
the Camius View App
Option 1: Search Online Network
to add devices from your network;
on the device page, enter the password you set
earlier, port 80 & save.
Option 2: While the QR code scanner is active,
point your smartphone's camera to it and snap.
To verify that your NVR is online, disconnect your
phone's Wi-Fi and let the App reload.
Download the Camius View app on your smartphone
or tab from the iOS or Android app store.
On the first run, the App will require network access
and her permissions; once authorized, the App will
start a tutorial highlighting the add button.
To get to the add device button later, Tap on the top
le menu icon and then on Devices to open the
Device Manager page.
Tap the button on the top right to add a new
device, and select NVR/DVR/IPCAM, which opens a
search page.

Direct Configuration using an HDMI monitor
Using a mouse and a monitor plugged into the NVR, click
on the btom le menu button >> Setup.
Configuration using a web browser
To quickly find the NVR's IP address on PC,
download the Camius Config Tool at camius.com/support
Enter the NVR's IP into your browser's address bar.
Log in with your NVR's credentials, then click Reme

Configuring Event-based recording
On the NVR’s monitor, click Menu >> Setup >> Record >> Record Schedule.
Click and drag inside the grid to select the hours to allow mion events to record, click 'Copy' to
apply these settings to her cameras, and then click 'Apply.'

Playback On the NVR’s monitor
Click on the playback icon on the btom menu bar
On the Date dropdown menu, a red underline indicates days with available recording.
Filter the type of event, stream, and select playback channels.
The 24-hour timeline will populate recording bars, and clicking on the timeline jumps playback to
the selected time.
Backing up foage requires a thumb drive. On the playback search page, click on the events tab,
select the date, type, and channels, and then click on the search button. Ne, select one or multiple
event thumbnails, click the Backup button at the btom, choose .MP4 (recommended), then click
on Save, select a folder on the thumb drive, and click OK.

Camera installation
The camera box contains the wall bracket, antenna, wall anchors, screws, and hex key, the battery
pack comes in a separate box.
1- Fix the antenna on the camera.
2- Secure the battery into the camera enclosure,
if you don’t hear an audible confirmation then the battery needs to be
charged, once the battery LED turns from red to green, it’s lly charged.
3- Use the Camius View app on a smartphone or tab to view the camera,
the NVR typically comes with 2 paired cameras, you can pair additional
cameras as described on page-3.
4- Loosen the 4 camera positioning screws and swivel the camera bracket to reach the
desired view, once satisfied, drill and install the wall bracket, we recommend a wall area n
directly exposed to rain or snow, and n too far from the desired view.
5- Tighten the hex positioning screws and the bracket and battery screws.

Q- How to resolve No picture/ Weak Signal ?
A- Please check the following: -The battery is connected and has enough power, - Try placing the
camera with fewer obstacles to the receiver.
Q- How can I improve the battery life?
A- If the camera overlooks a high-trac area, like sidewalks or roads, try repositioning the view to
only include areas of interest, - Consider switching from frequent live viewing to push nifica-
tions, - Set a more precise active Mion area under Setup >> Alarm >> Mion >> Setup, click on the
red square and then drag the angles to narrow the active detection area, this also helps reduce
false alarms.
Q- How to improve the clarity or brightness?
A- If the video is too bright or too dark, consider pointing the camera away from light sources,
placing the camera behind a window at night will cause a bright sp

Q- How do I enable nifications on my phone?
A- On the Camius View app - Tap on Menu >>
Push Nifications >> Setup >> toggle switch.
Q- I can't see the edges of the NVR's HDMI monitor. How do I fix it?
A- On the DVR, click on the Menu Icon >> Setup >> System >> General >> Output Configuration >> Scale
and Offset. Ne, click on Setup and Scale to adjust the visible screen size, X for horizontal, and Y
for vertical; once you see the red frame, right-click to go back and Apply to save changes.
Q- Why can’t I access my cameras on the Camius View app?
A- Check if you are using the latest version of the Camius View app.
On the App’s ‘Devices‘ page, make sure your recorder uses the P2P (ID) instead of (IP Address); if
in doubt, delete it and add it again.
Make sure your recorder is connected to the internet by checking its connection to the router.
