CAME TH/500 is a programmable thermostat that allows you to control your home's heating and cooling system with ease. General warnings
Important personal safety instructions: READ CAREFULLY!
Make sure that the power supply network, in compliance with the installation rules, is equipped with
an all-pole disconnecting device, which guarantees protection for overvoltage category III.
Installation, programming, commissioning and maintenance must only be performed by qualified and
experienced personnel in compliance with applicable regulations.
Wear antistatic shoes and clothing if working on the control board.
Keep hold of these warnings.
Always disconnect the electrical power supply during cleaning or maintenance.
This product should only be used for the purpose for which it was explicitly designed. Any other use
is considered dangerous.
The manufacturer declines all liability for any damage as a result of improper, incorrect or unreason-
able use.
Risk of explosion if the batteries are replaced with others of an incorrect type.
Once flat, the batteries must not be thrown away with household waste but separated and recycled
correctly.
DISPOSAL - Make sure the packaging is disposed of according to the regulations in force in the country
where the product is used.
Dispose of the device properly at the end of its life cycle. The equipment must be disposed of in compli-
ance with the regulations in force, recycling its component parts wherever possible. Components that
qualify as recyclable waste bear the relevant symbol and the material’s abbreviation.

Open the device by pressing the button on
the bottom A.
Inserting/replacing batteries
Insert 2 x AA 1.5V LR6 penlight alkaline
batteries (not supplied with purchase) into
the relative slot, respecting the polarities
shown on the bottom of the casing B.
WARNING. Inserting the batteries the
wrong way round could damage the unit.
Install the unit in a position which is
suitable for correct room temperature
measurement, for example on an internal
wall. Avoid installing in alcoves, behind
doors or curtains, or near heat sources C.

Fasten the back of the unit either to the wall
or inside the recessed back-box D using
the screws and expansion plugs supplied.
WARNING. Install the device on flat sur-
faces and do not over-tighten the screws.
Close the unit E making sure that the
hooks are inserted into the slots.
Resetting the device
If necessary, lightly press the button inside
the opening shown in figure F; release the
button as soon as the screen darkens and
wait a few seconds before starting normal
use of the device again.
NOTE. This operation does NOT lead to
any programming being deleted.

Sending the ID code
On screen E, use the arrows to
select the number to be assigned to the
first device the programmable thermostat
is being linked to .
Press the arrows at the same time
to send the programmable thermostat ID
code to the module E.
The yellow LED on the first module
(OH/1O16WL) lights up for 5 seconds to
show the link has been made F.
The type of device the thermostat has
been associated with and its number are
shown on the thermostat display G. After
a few seconds, the screen shown in figure
E reappears.
Repeat the procedure to link the second
actuator (if present) to the programmable
thermostat. Make sure that you select
number 2 from window E before sending
the code to the second module.
Once you have completed this operation,
exit learning mode by pressing the relay
module service button for at least 10
seconds (but less than 20 seconds).
Hold down the button D to access the
device installation screens.
The button lets you view the two
screens that are useful for installation.
Press the button to return to the
screen in figure C.
Note.
Radio modules automatically exit learning mode after 2 minutes of inactivity.

Associate the programmable thermostat, a motion
sensor and a window contact with the relay of an
OH/1016 WL module.
Repeat the procedure shown on the previous pages
from A to G.
Before the OH/1016 WL module exits learning mode,
associate the window contact with the relay on module
OH/1O1016 WL by pressing the relevant button H.
The motion detector can also be associated with the relay
on module OH/1O1016 by pressing the relevant button I.
WARNING. The radio sensors MUST be connected to the
same relay output as the programmable thermostat.
Once you have completed this operation, exit learning
mode by pressing the relay module service button for at
least 10 seconds (but less than 20 seconds).
Note. Radio modules automatically exit learning mode
after 2 minutes of inactivity.

Radio signal quality
Press the button to show the next
installation screen.
Once the associations have been made
between modules, the quality of the com-
munication between the programmable
thermostat and the devices associated
with it is shown on the screen as a percentage.
If there are two devices associated with the programmable thermostat, the arrows allow you to
select the connected device for which you want to see the signal quality.
A reception quality of <20% indicates that the position chosen to install the device or the receiver as-
sociated with it must be reassessed.

After having programmed the home automation system as necessary (see programming instructions),
send the ID code using the procedure shown on the following page.

Sending the ID code
Press the buttons C to send the
ID code to the home automation system.
Reading the module address
Once the modules have been programmed
with CAME D SW, the number of the home
automation branch it is part of and
the address of the system module are
displayed on screen D.
Press the button to exit the installa-
tion windows.

Operating the device
When first turned on A, the programmable thermostat is in automatic heating mode; the temperature
detected is shown on the display. On the diagram, the column corresponding to the current time flashes
and the arrow indicates the day of the week.
NOTE. When the device is in standby mode, the first touch on the screen switches on the backlighting
and does not carry out any command.
Setting the date and time
Note. If the programmable thermostat is
part of a home automation system, the
time is automatically adjusted by the
system itself.
Tap the clock area A and hold until the
minutes start to flash B.
Use the arrows to set the desired
value and the button to move on to
adjusting the time.
Press the button to see and set the
following, using the arrows:
- Minutes
- Hour
- Year
- Month
- Day
- Day of the week (indicated by the ar-
row C)
- Time format (12 or 24 hour clock)
- Enable/disable automatic change to and
from daylight saving time D.
Press and hold the buttons to take
you to the desired value more quickly.
Note. If no button is pressed for a few
seconds, the device goes back to the
main screen and the entered values are
considered valid.

Changing the system's operating
mode
Note. If the programmable thermostat is
part of a home automation system, the
mode is set by the control unit.
Touch the area shown in figure E and hold
until a beep indicates the mode has been
changed between:
System in heating mode
System in cooling mode
System o
System in frost-protection mode
When the system is o ( ), the image
in figure F is displayed on the screen
for a few seconds, to indicate that the
programmable thermostat is o; then the
temperature detected reappears.
When the system is set to frost-protection
mode G ( ), the arrows let you set the
minimum ambient temperature tolerated;
then the temperature detected reappears.
Note. Programmable frost-protection
temperature: Minimum 3.0°C – Maxi-
mum 16.0°C.
Pre-set weekly temperature programming (automatic mode)
To allow immediate use of the device, a standard set-up has been provided for it to operate in heating
mode and another for cooling mode, where the fixed temperature levels are:

If the temperature trends programmed correspond to your requirements, the device is ready to work

Customising weekly temperature
programming
Use the and arrows to view the
temperature set for the time selected on
the display A.

Once the temperature trend for the day
has been set, move on to programming
the next day by tapping the temperature/
time diagram C.
Adding a delay
Note. If the programmable thermostat is
part of a home automation system, this
function is not available.
If you want to delay the set programming
for a given time, proceed as follows. Se-
lect the desired time and press the area
highlighted in figure D to delay the set
programming by 15, 30 or 45 minutes.
Note. If no button is pressed for 5
seconds, the arrows disappear and the
main screen reappears showing the cur-
rent date and time and the temperature
detected E.

Copying the temperature trend
from one day to other days
Tap the part of the screen highlighted sev-
eral times to display the daily temperature
trend that you want to copy. Press and hold
the area highlighted in figure A until the
screen in figure B appears.
Tap the highlighted area of the screen
several times to move the arrow indicating
the days of the week to the day you want
to copy the temperature trend to.
Press the area highlighted and hold until
the screen in figure C appears.
The programming for day 5 has been
copied to day 7 .
Customising T1, T2 and T3
temperature values.
Press and hold down area D to select
the operating mode for which you want to
change the levels.

Tap the area highlighted in figure E to
display the screen to change temperature
level T2 F.
Proceed as described above to set tem-
perature level T3.
Use of the all-purpose program
The all-purpose program can be used
during midweek holidays, public holidays,
etc. It can be started up at any time of the
current day and stays on until the end
of that day.
To activate this program, press the
button G until the icon appears H.
The all-purpose program oers the tem-
perature trend set for day 7 (default), but
can be customised at will.
Activating the all-purpose program on
a particular day of the week
Select the desired day by tapping the
area shown in figure I and activate the
all-purpose mode using the button.
The program is activated on the day set and
remains in operation until midnight. The
device then goes back to automatic mode.
Notes:
All-purpose programming can relate to one day of the week only; any pre-existing all-purpose
programming is cancelled.
If the programmable thermostat is part of a home automation system, the all-purpose program can
only be activated for the current day.

Manual mode
To activate this mode, press the button
A until the icon B appears.
Use the arrows to set the desired
zone temperature B; the value entered
remains valid until the operating mode or
value set is changed.
Note. If no button is pressed for 5 sec-
onds, the device goes back to showing
the temperature detected.
Timed manual mode
If you want to keep the temperature
manual for a limited period, tap area
of figure B.
The icon C indicates that timed
manual mode has been activated; use the
arrows to set the value in hours and
minutes (in 15 minute blocks) during which
the mode is active.
If you want to set an activation time for
timed manual mode that is greater than 24
hours, press area of figure C and use
the arrows to set the value in days
during which the mode is active.
If no button is pressed for 5 seconds, the
arrows disappear and the countdown
begins D.
When the set period elapses, the device goes back to operating in automatic mode. To stop timed manual
mode, change mode by pressing the button.

Temperature control exclusion
To activate this mode, press the button
E until the icon F appears.
If the system is in "Heating" mode, the
frost-protection function remains on.
The frost-protection temperature set is
shown for a few seconds, then the cur-
rent time and temperature detected are
displayed.
If the system is in "Cooling" mode, the
control is totally excluded.
Other information that can be
displayed on the main page
By tapping the area where the detected
temperature is displayed G, the tem-
perature setpoint is displayed in place of
the time H.
Press on the area where the detected
temperature is displayed again to return
to the previous display mode.

Unlocking the screen
If the screen lock is enabled I, press on
any sensitive area of the screen to take you
to the display shown in figure J.
The first number flashes; use the
arrows to choose the first digit of the
code, and the arrow to move on to the
next digit. Once all the digits of the code
have been entered, press the button
to confirm what has been entered and the
screen unlocks. The unlocking is valid until
the next time the screen times out.
Movement detector
If the programmable thermostat is part of a home automation system, this function is not available.
The movement detector is active when the device is combined with a volumetric sensor.
If the sensor detects no movement in the room for at least 2 hours ( icon on), the programmable
thermostat changes the way it operates, taking into account the mode it is in when it is turned on.
If automatic mode is on, the temperature trend continually follows the temperature set for T1.
If manual mode is on, the temperature set is lowered by 3°C.
Changes to programming remain active until the sensor detects movement inside the room again
( icon o).
Window contact function
If the programmable thermostat is part of a home automation system, this function is not available.
The window contact function is active when the device is combined with a window contact.
If the window/door to which the contact is connected remains open ( icon on) for more than 2
minutes, the programmable thermostat goes into “OFF” mode. The programmable thermostat returns
to the previous operating mode only after the window/door to which it is connected is closed for more
than 2 minutes ( icon o).
WARNING. The devices MUST be connected to the same relay output as the programmable thermostat.
