Installation Instructions
1. Before beginning any work, clear the area and posi-
tion the machine for easy access. Disconnect all power
sources, both air and electricity inputs. Allow any stored
air in the reservoir to escape by depressing the inflate
valve.
Figure 1 - Disconnect power and air sources.
2. Verify the stored air pressure is zero by observing
the air pressure gauge on top of the tower (see photo).
Figure 2 - Verify stored air pressure is zero (0).
3. Locate the clamp halves and the tube bracket.
Interlock the clamp halves and position the interlocked
clamps on the tower as shown.
Figure 3 - Position interlocked clamp halves on the tower.
4. Place the tube bracket on the tower between
the clamp halves; aligning the bolt holes. Fasten this
assembly to the tower using a bolt, spacer sleeve, and
nut for each hole; just enough to hold it in place.
Figure 4 - Fasten clamp assembly onto the tower loosely.

5. For final clamp assembly positioning, move tube
bracket post so it is just above and to the right of the
plastic tower base cover. Make sure the bottom of tower
to bottom of clamp assembly measures 24-inches.
Tighten all three bolts to 20 ft. pounds torque each.
Figure 5 - Final positioning of clamp assembly.
6. Grease the long guide gib, then slide it into the
vertical slide. Install the cylinder onto the tube bracket
post and cylinder rod end, using the flat washers and
13mm retaining rings. Make sure upper cylinder fitting
is facing toward rear of machine.
Figure 6 - Install the cylinder onto the tube bracket assembly.
7. Position rear arm (tapped hole up) onto slide
assembly; hold in position. Pull the cylinder shaft and
slide up, then push the 7-inch bolt up from bottom,
place washer over bolt threads, and assemble lock nut
to bolt.
Next, using large wrenches, tighten the assembly
(very tight). If the arm rotation is too tight, loosen the
lock nut until the rear arm assembly rotates with a slight
amount of resistance.
Figure 7 - Tighten rear arm to rotate with some resistance.
8. Position arm with valve assembly onto rear arm;
install bolt through the top side and assemble lock nut
to bolt.
Next, using large wrenches, tighten the assembly
(very tight). Again, even though the bolt is very tight, the
assembly should be free to rotate.

9. If not already assembled, slide the auxiliary roller
shaft through the front arm hole aligning is for set
screw installation. Tighten the set screw. Assemble the
small roller and larger roller onto the front arm, using 1
1/4-inch retaining rings. Make sure small roller is facing
outward from machine.
10. Fasten each cushion clamp, using a 1/4-inch tap
screw in tapped hole, on front and rear arms to secure
the 3/8-inch hose in place on the arm assembly.
11. Now, with the machine disconnected from its air
supply and the air supply turned off, install the fitting
assembly to the tire changer inlet hose and reconnect
to inlet air supply.
Figure 9 - Fitting Assembly Assembled.
12. Now guide each 1/8-inch nylon tube through the
3/8-inch hose; and connect as follows:
A - from arm valve fitting through hose to top cylinder
fitting.
B - from arm valve fitting through hose, then route
behind bolts and spacers on clamp, to bottom
cylinder fitting.
C - (longest tube) from arm valve fitting through hose,
then route behind bolts and spacers on clamp
through back of chassis, to fitting assembly.
Note: Attach cable tie around tubes at back of Robo-
Roller arm assembly.

13. Next, reconnect electric and the air pressure
source; and check for leaks. Cycle the cylinder on the
Robo-Roller™ several times to make sure cylinder oper-
ates correctly (valve up for cylinder up - valve down for
cylinder down). Test the machine for full function before
returning the machine to operation.
14. Apply supplied safety decal on tower to replace
the original decal that is now covered by the clamp.
Robo-Roller™ Arm Maintenance
On a daily basis, inspect the unit and check to be cer-
tain that all systems are operating normally.
A. Grease the Robo-Roller arm to maintain smooth
rotation. Grease fittings have been provided at the pivot
joints.
B. Check bolt periodically at pivot joints. Verify nylock
nut is properly engaged.
