Congratulations on the purchase of TS-3000 CX-CI Receiver. This manual will help
to familiarize you with the setup and operation of your TS-3000 CX-CI receiver.
Please read through this manual carefully before operating the Receiver. You may
want to refer to this manual again so please store it in a convenient place for future
reference.

Safety precautions:
The receiver has been manufactured in accordance with international safety standards. For your own
safety you should read the notes on safety precautions carefully, and take note of them, before operat-
ing your new receiver. For your own safety please be sure to follow these safety precautions;
1.
When installing the receiver, ensure there is a gap of approximately 5cm around the receiver to en-
able air to circulate freely and prevent overheating.
2.
Do not install this equipment in a conned space such as a book case or similar unit. The ventilation
should not be impeded by covering the ventilation openings with items such as newspaper, table-
cloths, curtains etc.
3.
No naked ame sources, such as lighted candles should be placed on the apparatus.
4.
The receiver shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing; No objects lled with liquids, such as
vases should be placed on the apparatus.
5.
The mains plug is used as disconnect device, the disconnect device shall remain readily operable.
6.
Power cord must be placed correctly. Do not touch the power Cord and switch when your hand is
dankest.
7.
The normal operating temperature of the receiver is between 5ºC and 40ºC. Use the apparatus only
in moderate climates (Not in tropical climates).
8. The batteries shall not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine, re etc. Take attention to the
environmental aspects of battery disposal.

2. GENERAL INFORMATION
The TS-3000 CX-CI allows you to view a variety of satellite programs. This user’s
guide covers the installation of the TS-3000 CX-CI and the necessary steps to
operate various features. It also explains special features available only in this
TS-3000 CX-CI in detail, and will allow you to take full advantage of these features.

2.2 UNPACKING
Unpack the TS-3000 CX-CI and check to make sure that all of the following items
are included in the packaging.
1 x Remote Control Unit (RCU)
1 x User’s Guide
1 x Power cable
1 X Antenna cable
2 x AAA batteries
2.3 GENERAL OPERATION OF THE TS-3000 CX-CI
Throughout this manual you will notice that the everyday operation of your
TS-3000 CX-CI is based on a series of user friendly on screen display and menus.
These menus will help you to get the most from your TS-3000 CX-CI, guiding you
through installation, channel organizing, viewing and many other functions.
All functions can be carried out using the buttons on the RCU, and some of the
functions can also be carried out using the buttons on the front panel.
Please be aware that new software may change the functionality of the TS-3000 CX-CI.
Should you experience any difculties with the operation of your TS-3000 CX-CI,
please consult the relevant section of this manual, including the Problem Shooting,
or alternatively call your dealer or a customer service adviser.

2.4 RCU
POWER: Switches the Set Top Box ON or OFF.
RADIO: Switches to radio mode.
TV: Switches to TV mode.
SIGNAL: The strength and quality of signal.
: Selects the different audio modes.
FORMAT: Adjust screen format to 16:9 or 4:3
AUDIO: Selects audio languages.
SUB: Select subtitling options.
FAV: Favorite channel list.
TXT: Enables/disable Teletext function.
EPG: Displays the Electronic Program Guide.
SRC: Switch between TV, VIDEO
i: Displays program information.
0-9: Enters alphanumeric keys.
BACK: Returns to the previous menu.
EXIT: Used to exit menu screens and return to
Digital TV viewing.
MENU: Enters the Main Conguration Menu.
V+: Increases the volume.
V-: Decreases the volume.
OK: Selects items on menu.
P+: Channel up and Teletext navigation.
P-: Channel down and Teletext navigation
: (MUTE) stop and resume the audio
output.
: Play/Pause and Stop. Uses with PVR
functions.
Yellow key:
Resolution setting and used in the menu
system
Green, red & blue:
Used in the menu system.
Red: Instant record with for PVR.
<<: Left and rewind in PVR
>>: Right and fast forward in PVR

Once you have correctly connected the Set Top Box. You are ready to perform
the “Easy Installation”. During this procedure, helpful information is displayed at
the bottom of the menus to guide you through all the steps to set up your digital
receiver.
The “Easy Installation”menu is shown.
Select the desired language with cursors << and >>.
Check that all settings are as you want.
Settings will change to the most used setup for the chosen OSD language.

Once you have installed and connected the cables of the TS-3000 CX-CI, the
menu will be displayed.
This menu consists of 6~7 main pages as shown below. Depends if PVR media
is connected to USB connector.

During the installation the OK key conrms a selection.
Use the PR+, PR- key to move up or down cursor. To escape the menu system
at anytime, press EXIT key on the RCU.

4.1.1 Antenna Setup – 1) DiSEqC 1.2
1.
Antenna : You can select a maximum of 15 antennas with the combination
switches.
2.
Type : Select your antenna type to be DiSEqC1.2
3.
Satellite : Select satellite.
4.
LNB Type : Select your LNB type. If you have universal LNB, select Universal.
5.
LNB Freq. : Enter the proper LNB frequency referring to your LNB using the
numeric keys on the RCU. Universal LNB selection will automatically enter LNB
Default is None.
6.
22KHz Tone: Selection of 22KHz Tone. Default is None.
7.
DiSEqC: Can not be used if DiSEqC 1.2 is selected as type.
8. C/Ku band control: You can select C/Ku band control by selecting the switch.
Default is None.
A. East West

By selecting Limit Setup button (Green), the Limit Setup menu will pop up. Press-
ing the << (East) or >> (West) key on the RCU continuously you will move DiSEqC
motor to east or west point. By pressing the OK key on the RCU the message
“Would you like to set East limit of DiSEqC motor?” will be displayed for your con-
rmation. Place cursor on the OK button on the screen and press OK key on the
RCU to conrm the East limit.
To set West limit, follow the same steps as East limit.
B. Reset DiSEqC limit
If you want to reset the East limit or West limit, place the cursor on Reset DiSEqC

Limit button and then press OK key on the RCU. The message “Would you like
to reset limit for DiSEqC positioner?” will be displayed for your conrmation.
Select OK button by pressing OK key on the RCU.
The cursor will move to the East limit button so that you can reset the limit.
Select EXIT to nish antenna setup. The message “Are you sure to change
the conguration of Antenna setup?” will be displayed. Select OK button on the
screen and then wait for the data to be saved.
4.1.2 Antenna Setup – 2) Fixed
1.
Antenna: You can select a maximum of 15 antennas with the combination
switches.
2.
Type: Select your antenna type to be Fixed
3.
Satellite: Select satellite.
4.
LNB Type: Select your LNB type. If you have universal LNB, select Universal.
5.
LNB Freq.: Enter the proper LNB frequency referring to your LNB using the
numeric keys on the RCU. Universal LNB selection will automatically enter
LNB Default is None.
6.
22KHz Tone: Selection of 22KHz Tone. Default is None.
7.
DiSEqC: Select used DiSEqC Port for this position.
8.
C/Ku band control: You can select C/Ku band control by selecting the
switch. Default is None.
Select EXIT to nish antenna setup. The message “Are you sure to change the
conguration of Antenna setup?” will be displayed. Please select the OK button
on the screen and then wait for the data to be saved.

4.2.1 Terrestrial Channel Search
By selecting Auto Search the receiver will scan all terrestrial channels.
It is also possible to search by one channel. Select wanted channel by << / >> keys
and change function from Auto search to Manual search than pres OK. Receiver
will now only search for selected channel. It is also possible to search by frequency
if pres RED key and enter wanted frequency.
4.2.2 Satellite Channel Search
1.
Antenna : Select your antenna number.
2.
Satellite : Select desired satellite using << or >> keys. You can see the
information of selected satellite on the right side.
You can edit certain preprogrammed data such as Transponder, Frequency, Symbol Rate, Polariza-
tion and 22 KHz directly.
3.
Position : After selecting a satellite, please select Position button and then
keep pressing << or >> keys on the RCU until the selected satellite is locked.
If the satellite is locked correctly, the color of the signal label bar will change to
orange. When you press OK key on the RCU, the message “Would you like to
set the value of current position?” will be displayed. This function can only be
used with if USALS motorized function is selected.

Transponder : Select desired transponder using << or >> keys. By pressing
the OK key there will be displayed a Down List Box which also lets you select
the desired transponder.

Frequency & Symbol Rate : Edit the Frequency and Symbol Rate. This function
is only availbe if Edit mode (RED key) is activated.

Polarization : Select Hor or Ver. This function is only availbe if Edit mode
(RED key) is activated.
7.
Search 1 Sat : Allows you to search channels using the arrow keys.
Search TP: Search channels in one TP, which has been selected from the
TP list.
Search Network: Search all channels at once on all satellites.
TS-3000 CX-CI will automatically search channels for TV and Radio. During this
procedure you can see a list of the previously searched channels in the Searched
List Box on the screen.

The System Setting menu allows you to set items depending on your environment.
1.
OSD Language : Lets you select the desired language.
2.
Audio Language: Select the desired audio language to be in top priority under
the condition that this language is supported by the channel.

Subtitle: Select Subtitle Language

Antenna feed 5V: Enable / Disable 5V DC voltage supply. Uses with active
antennas.
5.
Screen Format: If your TV supports 16:9 screen format and selected channel
provides 16:9 format transmition than select 16:9.

Resolution: HDMI output resolution. Select between 1080i,720P,576P,576i
7.
Start On Channel: If you press OK key, then the channel list is displayed. You
can select one channel from the list. The selected channel starts whenever you
turn on TS-3000 CX-CI.

Partition number: If there are more than one partiton on the PVR media than
select wanted partition. This Function uses only when PVR media is connected
to USB connector.

Usually you get the information about real time from the satellite automatically
but sometimes they transmit wrong information. In that case, you can adjust the
real time using this function.

This receiver support OTA (Over the air) upgrading. OTA function will only work
if software is located OTA. Information about this will be available on
www.kjaerulff1.com site.

This function allows you to lock the channel with a password in order to prevent
children from accessing the channel.
You can also protect your installed data and information using the Install Lock.

4.7 FACTORY DEFAULT
If you want to bring TS-3000 CX-CI back to the factory default condition, select
Factory Default and press the OK key.
Then a warning message will be displayed. To conrm, select OK.
WARNING
On selecting factory default
you will lose all of data and
information, which was
previously installed.

5. ACCESS CONTROL
5.1 COMMON INTERFACE
TS-3000 CX-CI makes you able to enjoy various scrambled channels encrypted
by Viaccess, Nagravision, Irdeto, Conax, Cryptoworks and SECA.
Preparing
To be able to receive scrambled digital satellite channels you need a Smartcard
and a Common Interface CA (Conditional Access) module from the Service
Provider of your choice.
The Smartcard and the CA module may also provide access to special menus
not described in this manual. If so, please follow the instructions from the Ser-
vice Provider.
Only free to air channels are available without the Smartcard and CA Module.
Insert the CA Module in the slot of TS-3000 CX-CI and insert the Smartcard to
the CA module. This will give you access to scrambled channels.
Note: TS-3000 CX-CI has 2 slots for CA Module
Check Manager
Select Common Interface menu in the Main Menu page. Then TS-3000 CX-CI
detects and shows the CA Module names, which you have inserted in the slots.
Then select slot 1 or slot 2.
You will then see the information provided by the Program provider.
Note: This information may be different for each Program Provider.

5.2 CONDITIONAL ACCESS
TS-3000 CX-CI has a Conax conditional access system built in.
It makes you able to enjoy Conax crypted channels by a valid Conax card pro-
vided by service operator.
By entering Conax Conditional Access menu it makes you able to read out infor-
mation’s about Conax card.
