Configuration Report
/
Order Form
The configuration report / order form is an Adobe Acrobat (PDF) file that
lists the calibration and setup parameters of an application.
Configuration Report onfiguration Report A configuration report is delivered with each instrument so that you can
easily refer to the initial settings of all the instrument parameters. The
report also provides space to record in-field changes. To generate a
configuration report:
1. Select a standard application or a custom version.
2. Click the Report button. The software generates the report and displays
it in Acrobat Reader.
3. Click the Print button in Acrobat Reader to print a copy of the report.
4. Write the instrument model and serial number on the report.
Note The software overwrites the Report.pdf file for each new report.
Therefore, if you wish to keep an electronic copy of this configuration
report, you will need to save a copy. To do so, go to the File menu in
Acrobat Reader, and select Save A Copy.

Instrument Applications
Standard
Applications
The software is supplied with several standard applications. Use the keys on
the front panel of the instrument to calibrate it for the specific installation.
The standard applications are loaded into the software at the factory. You
cannot change the settings of the standard applications. However, you can
copy an application to create a customized version for a specific
requirement.
Customized
Instrument
Versions
You can define instrument configurations for particular installation
requirements. The main features to consider for a customized instrument
are the parameters that cannot be changed in the field. In particular, it is
necessary to determine the engineering units that will be used by the
instrument and the in-field access levels that permit users to make changes
to the instrument settings. If you know the calibration details of the input
sensors to be used with an instrument, you can create a customized
configuration for that instrument. Therefore, the instrument will not
require much calibration in the field.
Use the following procedure to create a custom instrument version.
1. Select an instrument application that is similar to your requirements.
You can select any standard or customized application.
2. Click the New button on the toolbar, or select New from the
Instrument menu. The system displays the Instrument Information
dialog box.
3. Overwrite the details in the fields to suit the new application. Note that
the version code must be different from any existing codes. Enter a
suitable title in the Version Title field. You can enter text in the
Version Description field to describe the features of your customized
version.

4. Click OK. The system adds the new instrument to the list of versions.
5. Edit the configuration parameters as required.

Parameters
Note You cannot change the parameters of a standard application (which
has a version code of 000000). To make changes to a standard application,
you must first create a custom version based on the standard application.
Use the following procedure to make changes to the parameters of an
instrument.
1. Select the parameter that you wish to change.
Note For information about the parameter you are editing, refer to the
operation manual for the current application by selecting Manual from the
Instrument menu.
2. Click the Edit button to enter edit mode.
