Connectthetwomotorconnectioncables(6)ontherightsidesofthecontrolunittothemotor
(7).Dependingontheintendeduse,youcouldsolderthecablesontothemotororuseplug
connectorstoadapttotheperformancerangeofthecontrolunit.Ineachcasetheconnectors
mustbeconnectedsothatthecable(forexamplebyusingappropriateshrinkingtubes)are
securedagainstshortcircuits.
Whenconnectingthemotor,ensurethatthepolarityofthecableiscorrect,sothatthemotor
doesnotrotateintheoppositedirection(redcable=positivepolarity/+,blackcable=nega-
tivepolarity/-).Theconnectedelectricmotormustbeproperlyprotectedfrominterferenceas
prescribedbythemanufacturer.
Solderaplugtothebatterycables(1)thattyourchosenbatteryplugsystem.Payattentionto
therightpolarity(redcable=positivepole/+,blackcable=negativepole/-).
Set the jumpers
Thebreakfunctionaswellasthebatterytypeusedcanbesetusingbothjumpers.
Whenusingaelectricglidermodelwithfold-waypropeller,youmustactivatethebreak.Insert
thetopjumper(4)sothatthemiddleandtopcontactareconnectedtoeachother(BrakeON).
Inamodelplanewitharigidpropeller,thebrakemustbedeactivated.Insertthetopjumper(4)
sothatthemiddleandlowercontactareconnectedtoeachother(BrakeOFF).
WhenusingaLiPodrivebattery,thelowerjumper(5)mustbeinsertedsothatthemiddleand
theuppercontactareconnected("Li-xx").Whenreaching3V/cell,thecontrollerreducesthe
motorpowertoprotectthebatteryfromtotaldischarge.WhenusingaNiCd/NiMHdrivebattery,
thelowerjumper(5)mustbeinsertedsothatthemiddleandthelowercontactsareconnected
("Ni-xx").
Important!
Thejumpersmayonlybereconnectediftheplanebatteryisnotconnectedtothe
controller.Neverreconnectthejumperswhiletheplanebatteryisstillconnectedto
thecontroller.
Mounting the control unit
Iftheproductistobeusedasareplacementforanexistingightcontroller,rstremovetheold
controlunitfromyourmodel.
Nowmountthecontrolunittothemodel.Dependingonthespaceavailable,selectthesame
mountinglocation.Ideallythisshouldbeasfarawayfromthereceiveraspossible.Thecontrol
unitshouldalsonotbedirectlynexttothemotor.
Hook-and-looptape or adouble-sided adhesivetape canbe used tomount the
controlunit.
Positionallcablessothattheycannotbecomeentangledinrotatingormovingpartsofthe
model.Usecabletiestoafxthem,forexample.

Intended Use
Theproductisanelectronicmodelplanecontrolunit,whichisconnectedtoafreechannelof
aremotecontrolreceiverformodelaeroplaneswithsteplessspeedadjustmentofabrushless
motor(collectormotorwithtwoterminals).ThecontrolunithasaBECcircuit,whichsupplies
powertotheradioreceiverandtheconnectedservosfromtheightbatteries.
Forsafetyandcompliancereasons,theproductmustnotbeconvertedand/ormodiedinany
way.Ifyouusetheproductforotherpurposesthanthosedescribedabove,theproductmaybe
damaged.Furthermore,improperusecancauseriskssuchasshort-circuits,re,etc.Please

• ThecontrolunitcanbeoperatedwithNiMH-/NiCdaswellasLiPobatteries.
• Themaximumallowedvoltageandcurrentvalue(seesection:TechnicalData)
maynotbeexceeded,otherwisethemotorand/orightcontrollercouldbede-
stroyed.Non-compliancewiththelimitswillvoidtheguarantee/warranty.
