PLEASE NOTE: SECURING THE NETWORK IS ONLY NECESSARY IN THE EVENT THAT OTHERS ARE
ABLE TO ACCESS YOUR ELECTRICITY NETWORK.
SECURITY USING THE SECURITY AND RESET BUTTON
In order to create a secure network with two or more Homeplug adapters, you can use the
“Security” button. The security code is saved in the equipment, and cannot therefore be read.
SCENARIO 1: SETTING UP A SECURE NETWORK BETWEEN ADAPTER “A” AND “B”.
1. Press the “Security” button on adapter A for 10 seconds until the lamps go out.
2. Press the “Security” button on adapter B for 10 seconds until the lamps go out.
3. Press the “Security” button on adapter A for 1 second.
4. Press the “Security” button on adapter B for 1 second.
5. The lamps on both adapters will go out and then on again. After a maximum of 1
minute, the connection will be set up and secured.
SCENARIO 2: ADD AN ADDITIONAL ADAPTER “C” TO THE NETWORK BETWEEN “A” AND “B”.
1. Press the “Security” button on adapter C for 10 seconds until the lamps go out.
2. Press the “Security” button on adapter A for 1 second.
3. Press the “Security” button on adapter B for 1 second.
4. The lamps on adapter C will go out and then on again. After a maximum of 1 minute,
the connection will be set up and secured.
The “reset” button can be used to return an adapter to its factory settings. The adapter will then
be unsecured, and will only be able to communicate with unsecured adapters. To reset, press
the button for 2 seconds. All lamps will go out briefl y.

The ICIDU 200 Mbps Homeplug adapter has 3 LED indicators
LED indicator Status Indication
Data On Another adapter has been detected on the same network.
Off No adapter has been detected on the same network.
Flashing Activity on the Homeplug network.
Power On The adapter is connected.
Ethernet On The network port is connected correctly and ready to
send/receive data.
Off The network port is not connected correctly.
Flashing The network port is sending/receiving data.
