Firstly, thank you for purchasing this ICIDU Homeplug adapter. With this 200 Mbps Homeplug
adapter you can quickly and easily set up a network so that you perform tasks such as sharing
the internet and fi les. This adapter uses the electrical sockets in your home or offi ce to create a
connection between laptops or PCs with a transfer speed of 200 Mbps.

PACKAGE CONTENTS
Before you begin the installation, check that all of the required components are present.
The following should be present in the package:
- 2x Homeplug adapter
- 2x RJ45 Ethernet cable
- CD with manual and software

USE
This Homeplug adapter allows you to provide multiple computers with simple access to your
broadband internet connection. In addition to sharing the internet connection, you can also set
up a network between different PCs.
HARDWARE INSTALLATION
Before installing the hardware, please take the following steps:
- Ensure that there is at least 1 free electrical socket available for each adapter.
- Insert the second, third etc. adapters into other electrical sockets, where applicable.
- Connect the adapter to the network and/or the computer using the network cables. There are 3
options for connection:
1 from router/switch to PC
2 from PC to PC
3 from router/switch to router/switch
Check that the LEDs ignite as indicated under heading “LED indicators”
SOFTWARE INSTALLATION
Install the Homeplug Utility from the CD using the ICIDU start screen. This provides additional
functionality and security. If you do not need this, you do not have to install the software. Without
software, you can use the Homeplug adapter immediately.
PLEASE NOTE: SECURING THE NETWORK IS ONLY NECESSARY IN THE EVENT THAT OTHERS ARE
ABLE TO ACCESS YOUR ELECTRICITY NETWORK.
SECURITY USING THE SECURITY AND RESET BUTTON
In order to create a secure network with two or more Homeplug adapters, you can use the
“Security” button. The security code is saved in the equipment, and cannot therefore be read.
SCENARIO 1: SETTING UP A SECURE NETWORK BETWEEN ADAPTER “A” AND “B”.
1. Press the “Security” button on adapter A for 10 seconds until the lamps go out.
2. Press the “Security” button on adapter B for 10 seconds until the lamps go out.
3. Press the “Security” button on adapter A for 1 second.
4. Press the “Security” button on adapter B for 1 second.
5. The lamps on both adapters will go out and then on again. After a maximum of 1
minute, the connection will be set up and secured.
SCENARIO 2: ADD AN ADDITIONAL ADAPTER “C” TO THE NETWORK BETWEEN “A” AND “B”.
1. Press the “Security” button on adapter C for 10 seconds until the lamps go out.
2. Press the “Security” button on adapter A for 1 second.
3. Press the “Security” button on adapter B for 1 second.
4. The lamps on adapter C will go out and then on again. After a maximum of 1 minute,
the connection will be set up and secured.
The “reset” button can be used to return an adapter to its factory settings. The adapter will then
be unsecured, and will only be able to communicate with unsecured adapters. To reset, press
the button for 2 seconds. All lamps will go out briefl y.

Off No adapter has been detected on the same network.
Flashing Activity on the Homeplug network.
Power On The adapter is connected.
Ethernet On The network port is connected correctly and ready to
send/receive data.
Off The network port is not connected correctly.
Flashing The network port is sending/receiving data.
WARRANTY
Unless specifi ed otherwise, all items sold under the ICIDU name are covered by a ten-years
warranty. No warranty or support is provided for the software and rechargeable batteries that
are provided. Claims under warranty can be made only via the dealer from whom the item was
purchased.
