UsePoweroverEthernet(PoE)fornetworkandpowersourceconnections
unlessotherwisedirectedbyyoursystemadministrator.
NOTE:TheACpoweradapterisaseparate,optionalaccessory.Yoursystem
administratorwillprovideonetoyouifnecessary.
Power over Ethernet
UsingaregularCAT5cable(optionalPolycomaccessory),thephonecanbe
poweredfromaPoE(IEEE802.3af)compliantswitchorhub.
PlugthesuppliednetworkcablebetweentheLANjackonthephoneandan
availablepoweranddataportontheinlinepowerswitch.
NOTE:TheSoundPointIP330hasanoptionalPCconnectionandtheIP320doesnot.This
istheonlydifferencebetweenthephones.
AseparateferriteclampisrequiredofyouwanttousetheoptionalPCconnection

Connect the Handset and Optional Headset
1. Connecttheshort,straightendofthephonecordtothehandset,and
thecorrespondinglongerstraightendofthecordtothehandsetjack
onthebackofthephone.
2. Connecttheheadset(optional)totheheadsetjackonthesideofthe
phone.
Attach the Base
1. Placeallcordsintherecessedareaabovethemodularjacks.
2. Alignthetwoprotrusionsonthebracketwiththeircorresponding
holesinthephone.

Lists
Alistofuptofourcurrentcallsismaintained.Youcanscrollthroughthelist
usingtheupordownarrows.Callsareorderedusingbyactive,alerting,then
held.Callswiththesameprioritiesareorderedoldestfirst.Thelistisemptyif
therearenocurrentcalls.
Locallistsofincoming(missedandreceived)callsandoutgoing(alsoknown
asplaced)callsaremaintainedbythephone(upto99foreachlist).The
initialviewofbothlistsshowsthelisttitleandthefirsttwocallsinthelist.
Thefirstcallisdisplayedinreversevideotoindicatethatitiscurrently
selected.Asymbolindicateswhetherthecallwasanswered ormissed .

amicrophoneonthegraphicdisplayindicatesthattheotherparty(or
parties)cannothearyou.
ToturnoffMicrophonemute,press again.
Call Hold
Duringacall,pressthe button.Thisisindicatedonthedisplaybythe
holdiconasthelineindicator.
Press againortheResumesoftkeytoresumethecall.Theactiveaudio
icon(oneof )appearsonthelineindicator.Whenacallhasbeen
onholdforanextendedperiodoftime,bothvisualandaudiblealerts
appear.Whenactiveonacall,theringsplashisplayedatavolumethatis
typicallylowerthanthenormalringvolume.
NOTE:Callsonholdmaygeneratemusic,sobecarefulifyouareonaconferencecall.
Multiple Calls on Hold
Iftwoormorecallsareonhold,itisindicatedonthedisplay.Forexample,
“2/3”indicatesthatthisisthesecondcalloutofthreecalls.Ifcallsareon
holdonmorethanoneLineKey,allcallsarecombinedintoasinglecalllist.
PressingaLineKeywithcallsonholdplacesthecurrentactivecallonhold
andresumesthefirstcallonthatLineKey.
