Before beginning the installation, check that you have all the required
components. The package should contain:

This USB 2.0 internal card reader enables you to quickly and easily transfer
files between various types of memory cards and your PC.
All kinds of files can be moved, stored, copied and deleted, including
documents, films, images, games and music. Ideal for use with your GSM,
digital camera or PDA. You can even quickly connect a USB device, which
is then available via the card reader.
H A R D W A R E I N S TA L L AT I O N
Before installing the hardware, take the following precautionary measures:
Ensure that the PC is switched-off and that the power is disconnected. After
removing the screws to open the computer housing, you can install the card
reader in a 3.5” bay.

Plug the card reader’s connector to an available USB port (usually blue) on your
motherboard. Before use, we recommend that you consult the manual for your
motherboard or computer on this point.
The card reader uses 2 connectors. The white connector can only be fitted
in one way. The black connector has to be fitted with the white spot to the
right-hand side of the card reader.
PLEASE NOTICE: When the connector is placed incorrect, USB peripherals
attached to the front USB-port can get defective.
O
nce the card reader has been installed, you can replace the cover on the
computer housing and properly reconnect all the cables that you had removed
from the PC.
Windows will automatically detect the new hardware upon reboot and load the
default drivers already available in Windows.
As soon as the drivers have been installed, the card reader is ready for use. We
advise you to reboot your computer before using the card reader with USB port.

Windows 2000 and/or Windows XP do not require driver installation.
The Plug & Play technology makes everything very simple. The extra
drivers loaded by Windows allow files from a range of memory cards to
be made accessible and ready for potential processing.
