Subject
Alarms 23, 24, 37, 38, 57 and 75 in WTM & RTC / WTC
Model
Whole Modular Rack Type (WTM series) range and Compact Rack Type
(RTC / WTC series) range with relevant Drying Tunnels.
Problem
Any of alarms above (all related to motor thermal protector tripping) appears
even if the thermal protector in start-up switch 0L1036 (load 3A÷12A) or
0L1222 (load 1.25A÷5A) has not tripped out.
Reason
There may be a false contact in the control unit device keeping contacts open.
In any case there is NOT any safety issue since the thermal protector
works properly even in case of defective control unit.
Action in
Factory
The start-up switch supplier (Telemecanique) has introduced improvements to
avoid false contact since end of year 2005. Therefore start-up switches with
their serial number from 060101 onwards have not problems of false contact.

Start-up switches 0L1016 (load 8A÷32A, 0L017 (load 3A÷12A) and 0L1029
(4,5A÷18A) have not contacts (see table above) since they are not used for
motors. Therefore they cannot be involved in this problem.
