Installation
Wall mounting
For wall mounting use either a standard
base plate or a special base plate with
associated case.
Fasten the base on a flat surface using
two 4 mm screws (standard base
plate) or three 4 mm screws (special
base plate). Remember that the arrow in
the bottom of the base plate must point
upwards.
The control can now be wired (see
section “Electrical connections”).
The control must be mounted in the
base (with special base plate mount
case first) and fastened with the staybolt
under the cover plate.
Panel mounting
(in cutout)
The control can be mounted in a panel
with a cutout of 92 x 138 mm (max.
sheet thickness 3 mm). Fit four retainer
springs on the control before mounting.
The retainer springs are available as
accessories, the set consisting of four
springs and two terminal strips.
Electrical connections must be made to
the loose terminal strips which can then
be mounted. The terminal strips are
coded to prevent mains voltage section
from being connected to low-voltage
section.
Mounting on DIN rail
The control can be mounted on a 35 mm
DIN rail. The base must be fastened by
a spring (available as an accessory)
which must be fitted at the rear of the
base before mounting on the DIN rail.

Connection to 230 VAC -
(terminals 13-24)
The control must be connected using the
terminal strips with screw terminals.
Up to 3 x 1.5 mm² or corresponding
wires can be connected in each
terminal. The terminal strips are coded
to prevent terminal strips with mains
voltage being connected to sensor
terminals.

safety voltage (terminals 1 - 12)
Sensor mounting is described in the
instructions enclosed with the product.
Wire cross-section: min. 0.4 mm²

Note!
Wire resistance can give measurement
error. A resistance of 4 ohm
corresponds to a temperature increase
of about 1 degree.

Selection of system type
EPU 2370 is a multipurpose control for
use with several different types of
systems. Therefore the type of system
must be selected before the control is
operated. The selection procedure is as
follows: 1) Connect sensors, 2) Connect
voltage, 3) Select system type.
The individual system type numbers
denote different control principles. When
the necessary sensors have been
connected and the system type
selected, control operation on that
principle is automatically activated.
The following system types can be
selected in P0.2 (see also page 5):

Setting of system type
number
- Remove the black cover plate.
- Set the function selector (f) on 0.
- Press the + key (d) twice.
The display will now change between
P0.2 and a number between 0 and 6.
- With a pointed object, press the SET
key (i). The number will begin to flash.
- Press either the + or - key (d or e)
until the display shows the required
system type number.
- Press the SET key (i) to store the
required system type number.
- Refit the black cover plate.
Control operates according to factory-
set values.
Note
If the factory-set values in the control
are to be changed, see the pages 13-48
or contact Danfoss.
Display of actual temperature
Actual temperature (hot water, flow or
room temperature) can be read off with
the function selector (f) on
(pos. 7).
Setting required normal temperature
Set the function selector (f) on
(pos.
8). The temperature can be increased or
reduced by pressing the + or - key.
Setting required reduced temperature
Set the function selector (f) on
(pos.
9). The temperature can be increased or
reduced by pressing the + or - key.
