IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS
This manual contains important instructions that you should follow during installation and
maintenance of the security detector. Please read all instructions before operating the
equipment and save this manual for future reference.
The security detector is a device that works with the Eaton Powerware
Environmental Rack Monitor (ERM) and connects to the TH-Module.
Through the ERM, the user can monitor if a door or window is open.
Security detectors are commonly used in burglar alarm systems as
door/window open sensors; however they can be disabled if they are in
a strong, external magnetic field. If a security detector is dropped onto a
hard surface from more than 30 cm (11.8) or subject to shock of more
than 30G, it is possible to cause the characteristics to change (Pull-in,
Drop- out, etc.).
It is recommended to place security detectors in doors or windows.
Installation
To install the security detector:
1. Loosen the screws on the TH-Module (see Figure 1).
