INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Pendant Mount Accessory Kit
for
Solo L.E.D. Exit Signs
When using electrical equipment, basic safety precautions
should always be followed, including the following:

Before wiring to power supply, turn off electricity at fuse or circuit breaker.
Disconnect A.C. power before servicing.
All servicing should be performed by qualified personnel.
Consult your local building code for approved wiring and installation.
Do not use outdoors.
Do not mount near gas or electric heater.
Fixture must be grounded to avoid potential electric shock.
Equipment should be mounted in locations and at heights where it will not
readily be subjected to tampering by unauthorized personnel.
The use of accessory equipment not recommended by the manufacturer
may cause an unsafe condition.
Do not use this equipment for other than intended use.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
1. Cut Convenience Strap 1* and Lamp Harness 2% short, leaving
approximately 1” protruding from Canopy 2! (Fig. 2). Keep the
remainder of the Lamp Harness.

2. Remove and discard the nut and spring, and remove the Canopy
om the Panel Assembly

3. Remove the two screws and the Lamp Housing Bracket 2& from the
top of the Panel Assembly. Strip approximately 1” of the outer jacket
of the Lamp Harness . Strip the ends of the wires to expose
approximately ½” of uninsulated wire. Extend the Lamp Harness
wires the length of the pendant plus 12 inches by connecting 22-24
gage wires (not provided), using wire nuts 4^.
4. Dress the wire nut connections and the cut end of the Convenience
Strap into the Panel Assembly and replace the Lamp Housing
Bracket 2& and its screws.
5. Assemble Swivel Adapter 4@ to each end of Swivel 4# (if used).
6. Assemble pendant components and Canopy 2! per Figures 1
and 3, dressing the extended Lamp Harness through all.
7. Strip approximately 1” of the outer jacket of the Lamp Harness
remainder 2%. Strip the wire ends and use wire nuts to connect them
to the extended Lamp Harness. IMPORTANT: The polarity of the
lamp circuit must be maintained. Connect the extended Lamp
Harness to its mating plug protruding from the Rough In Section (Fig.
3).
8. Plug Test Switch Harness 2$ onto Test Switch / Pilot Light
Assembly 2# (SD/SDFIFA versions only) (Fig. 3).
9. Guide Canopy onto Extension Collar 1^, dressing harnesses into
the Rough In Section so that no wires are damaged. Tighten Canopy
screws to pull Canopy flush to ceiling.
10. If Swivel is used, plumb fixture by adjusting the angle of the
Swivel assembly, tightening both Swivel screws securely.
