1. Introduction to AccuSender powered by SendSecure

Kyocera’s AccuSender powered by SendSecure is a Kyocera Business Application designed to further

leverage an existing XMedius SendSecure Cloud investment. AccuSender powered by SendSecure gives a

user the ability to scan to and print from their SendSecure account directly from the MFP without the need

for middleware.

1.1 AccuSender powered by SendSecure Features

1.2 This Guide

This document describes the components, functions, installation requirements, and steps required to deploy

and configure AccuSender powered by SendSecure effectively. Since AccuSender powered by SendSecure

offers multiple workflow and configuration options, it is essential to understand these to deploy this

solution correctly.

1.3 Data Flow

The AccuSender powered by SendSecure HyPAS application on the MFP uses SendSecure API services to

retrieve data from SendSecure SafeBox configuration on the MFP. When documents are scanned through

the MFP, a SafeBox is created under the logged in user’s XMedius SendSecure account. Notifications are

then sent out to the recipients as if sent from the logged in user’s XMedius SendSecure account through the

web portal.

1.4 Supported MFPs

For a full list of support MFP models, please refer to the Solutions Compatibility Chart on KDACentral.com.

1.5 Licensing

AccuSender powered by SendSecure requires the purchase of a software license from an authorized Kyocera

or Copystar dealership.

You can evaluate the software, free of charge, for two 30-day trial periods. AccuSender powered by

SendSecure will be disabled when the two trial periods expire, and you will be required to purchase a license

key to be entered to continue using the application.

1.6 On-line Activation

AccuSender powered by SendSecure uses the same activation method as the Card Authentication Kit,

Teaching Assistant, Data Security Kit and the Document Guard Kit. Following the purchase of a license

certificate, the Product ID Number is sent in an email message. You will need these items as well as the MFP

Serial Number when you access the License Page from KDACentral.

You will be issued a unique Activation Key once you register your option. Print this page and input this

Activation Key number on the panel of your HyPAS-Enabled MFP or HyPAS-Capable MFP to activate it.

What’s required:

• License Certificate

• Product ID Number

• MFP Serial Number

AccuSender powered by SendSecure Licensing Procedure

NOTE: The following images show the licensing procedure for the Printed Document Guard Kit (A) but the

same procedure is followed for licensing AccuSender powered by SendSecure.

1. Enter the Product ID from the

License Certificate, Click Next

2. Your Product will be verified, Click

Next.

3. Enter the MFP Serial Number, Click

Next.

4. Re-enter the MFP Serial Number to

confirm it, Click Next.

5. Your Information will be verified,

Click Next.

6. Your License Key is issued.

7. Print the Page and input the License Key number on the panel of your HyPAS enabled MFP to

activate your Device.

2. HyPAS Application Installation

Two 30-day full-featured trials are allowed per MFP. For use beyond the trial period, each MFP installation

must be activated with a unique license key obtained after purchasing the corresponding item code.

2.1 Installation on HyPAS-Capable MFPs

1. Download the AccuSender powered by SendSecure Package file from KDACentral Kyocera and

Copystar Dealer Portal and copy it to the root of a clean USB flash drive.

2. At the MFP control panel, open System Menu/Counter >Favorites/Application.

3. Log in as Administrator when prompted. The default login name is Admin and the default password

is Admin (Note: Enter capital A when entering ‘Admin’ as both login name and password fields are

case-sensitive).

4. Press Application button.

5. Press Menu button.

6. Press Add button.

7. Insert USB flash drive into the MFP.

8. A list showing the application will appear.

9. Select AccuSender powered by SendSecure and press Install.

10. After installation, press End to return to the Applications screen.

11. Select AccuSender powered by SendSecure and press Menu.

12. Press Activate. The MFP will prompt for Activation Mode. If a license key is available, enter the

license key, then select Official. Otherwise, press the Trial button to activate one of the two 30-day

trials. One trial can last for 30 days after which time the trial button will be disabled and the

AccuSender powered by SendSecure service will no longer start. A license must be purchased from

an authorized Kyocera or Copystar dealer to restart the AccuSender powered by SendSecure service.

13. If the Official button is pressed, the

MFP will prompt for a license key.

Enter it using the keypad and press

the OK button.

NOTE: License key can only be

generated by authorized Kyocera or

Copystar dealers.

After AccuSender powered by SendSecure is activated successfully, it can be executed from the main

Application screen (opened by pressing the Application key on the control panel).

2.2 Installation on HyPAS-Enabled MFPs

1. Download the AccuSender powered by SendSecure Package file from KDACentral Kyocera and

Copystar Dealer Portal and copy it to the root of a clean USB flash drive.

2. At the MFP control panel, open System Menu > Applications.

3. Log in as Administrator when prompted. The default login name is Admin and the default password

is Admin (Note: Enter capital A when entering ‘Admin’ as both login name and password fields are

case-sensitive).

4. Press the Add button.

5. Insert USB flash drive into the MFP.

6. A list showing the application will appear.

7. Select AccuSender powered by SendSecure and press Install.

8. After installation, press Close to return to the Application screen.

9. Select AccuSender powered by

SendSecure and Press Activate. The

MFP will prompt for Activation mode.

If a license key is available, enter the

license key, then select Official.

Otherwise, press the Trial button to

activate one of the two 30-day trials.

One trial can last for 30 days after

which time the trial button will be

disabled and the AccuSender

no longer start. A license must be purchased from an authorized Kyocera or Copystar dealer to

restart the AccuSender powered by SendSecure service.

10. After AccuSender powered by SendSecure is activated successfully, it can be executed from the

home screen.

NOTE: To setup AccuSender powered by SendSecure as the default screen of the MFP, open System Menu >

Common Settings > Default Screen and select AccuSender powered by SendSecure.

2.3 Upgrading AccuSender powered by SendSecure HyPAS Application

Whenever the AccuSender powered by SendSecure HyPAS Application is upgraded, the MFP will need to be

restarted for the application to function properly. Please make sure to restart the MFP after the AccuSender

3. Configuration Web Page

Administrators can access the AccuSender Configuration web page using a browser such as FireFox (version

17) or Internet Explorer (versions 8 and 9).

Configuration page URL:

http://<MFP_IP_ADDRESS>:8080/AccuSenderSendSecure/config

(Replace <MFP IP Address> with the IPV4 address of the MFP)

To begin configuration, please login with the MFP administrator’s username and password. Once logged in

you will be shown the Job Status page and have a navigation menu on the left side of the page.

NOTE: Only one configuration session is allowed at any time. Any previously opened sessions will be

terminated.

3.1 Scan Defaults

Changing the default scan settings will apply to all users who use the application. Scan settings can also be

changed in the AccuSender powered by SendSecure HyPAS application on the MFP panel itself on a scan to

scan basis.

• Color Selection: Monochrome, Full Color, Grayscale, Auto Mono, Auto Gray

• Resolution: 200-dpi, 300-dpi, 400-dpi

*400-dpi is only compatible with Monochrome and Grayscale

• Duplex: Duplex On, Duplex Off

• Original Type: Photo, Text, Photo & Text, For OCR

• Original Orientation: Top Edge Top, Top Edge Left

• Scan Density: (darkest) -3, -2.5, -2, -1.5, -1, -0.5, 0, 0.5, 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5, 3 (lightest)

• Continuous Scan: Continuous Off, Continuous On

• Page Size: Auto, Letter, Letter-R, Legal, Statement, Statement-R, A3, Ledger, A4, A4-R, B5, B5-R, B6,

B6-R, 16K, 16K-R, Officio2, Folio

3.2 Job Status

The Job Status pane will display the list of completed jobs and the status of that job. Date are show on the

left and can be selected to narrow results.

• Log Dates: Dates jobs went out through AccuSender powered by SendSecure

• Service Name: Which SendSecure service was used

• Job ID: The ID of the scan job

• Time Start: Time the job was started

• Status: The status of the specific job

3.3 Import/Export Configuration

The configuration can be exported and imported into another MFP to ensure uniform settings across

multiple AccuSender powered by SendSecure installations.

Import Settings

Under Import Settings, click the Choose File button and navigate to the exported .zip file. Select the .zip file

and click the Open button. The .zip file will appear next to the Choose File button for reference. Next, click

the Import button to import your AccuSender powered by SendSecure settings. A popup window should

appear stating that connector has “successfully imported data”. Click OK to close the popup window and

click the Finish button to return to the Settings page.

Export Settings

Click the Export button and your settings will automatically download to your browser’s default download

location. The file will be called “AccuSenderSendSecure.zip” and can be copied and moved as any other .zip

file.

3.4 XMediusService Service Settings

• XMedius Service Domain: The domain used to sign in to the portal

• Enterprise Account ID: XMedius Enterprise Account ID

• File name: Default name that will be given to scanned files

• One Touch Account: An account that can be used by anyone who walks up to the MFP.

o User: Username for One Touch account

o Password: Password for One Touch account

4. Using AccuSender powered by SendSecure on the MFP

4.1 Logging in on the MFP

1. Press the AccuSender powered

by SendSecure icon on the MFP

panel to display the login page.

Enter your email address

associated with your account

and your SendSecure Password.

If you want to register a HID

card, simply swipe your card

after you have filled out your

Name and Password without

pressing the Next button.

2. Upon successful login, you will

be shown the Create a SafeBox

screen.

4.2 Configuring a SafeBox

After logging in the Create a SafeBox screen is show. Here users can add or lookup recipients, alter the

Subject, Body, or display language of the email sent to recipients, change the default scan settings, and

change the security options.

Subject

The Subject of the email that will

be sent to recipients. This can be

changed to any string the user

would like but it must be

populated as it is a required field.

Body

The Body of the email that will be

sent to recipients. This field is not

required and can be left blank if

desired.

Adding Recipients

Use the Add button to manually

add a new recipient.

Simply enter the recipients email

address (required) and/or phone

number and press the OK ( )

button.

Lookup Recipients

Use the Recipient Lookup

button to browse recipients.

A list of the organization’s users will

be displayed as well as any favorites

the currently logged in user has

selected in the past. Favorites are

shown with a star icon next to the

name.

If the list is large, users can search

by entering a name in the search

box above the list a pressing the

Search icon.

Users can also filter the list only

by favorites by pressing the

Favorites tab on the top-right of

the list view.

Removing Recipients

Recipients can be removed

from the sender list by pressing

the red “X” tag to the right of

the recipient name.

Security Options

Security Options can be

configured by pressing the

Security Options button.

The Security Options screen will allow the user to choose from a predefined Security Profile, set the SafeBox

Retention time length, or set an Auto Close date.

• Security Profile: Dropdown box that contains all predefined Security Profiles the currently logged in

user has access to. The profiles are configured through the XMedius SendSecure web portal.

• Retention: Sets the life cycle of the SafeBox:

o Delete On Close: SafeBox contents will be deleted as soon as the SafeBox is closed

o Retain after close for: SafeBox contents will remain inside the closed SafeBox for the

configured amount of time

o Retain Indefinitely: SafeBox contents will remain inside the closed SafeBox until they are

manually deleted

• Auto Close: Sets a date on which to automatically close the SafeBox

o After: SafeBox will close after the configured time

o On: SafeBox will close on the configured date
