1 Scope

This document provides the release notes of the different versions of the Theater Management

Software.

(Numbers of incidents described in this document corresponds to the Barco Liège DevTrack software

incidents identifiers.)

2 Theater Management Software Release Notes

2.1 Version 5.6.3 – Dec 19

, 2012

2.1.1 Improvements

 Purge Doremi Logs tool needed during installation

 Barco Communicator in the TMS from the screen panel

 Improve message log display for more clarity

 POS Scheduler in TMS with a first integration of Compeso Ticketing system

 Backup Agent as a service that performs automatic backup of the TMS

 Retries of failed jobs enhancing management of execution of jobs when errors

 Enhance job panel display for more commodity when managing jobs

 Decide when a job will run in order to schedule a job

 Enhance the Content Browser display from the comments of our customers

2.1.2 Limitations

 For performance reasons, it is strongly recommended not to have more than a few hundreds of

KDM on the entire USB Media (sub directories included) during the ingest of KDM.

2.1.3 Software defect fixes

 717: Cms takes a lot of time to detect content on FTP Catcher

 726: Extreme memory peaks encountered by Proxy Manager service

 762: Error message when loading settings

 811: TMS crashes after clearing – ingesting lot of jobs

 823: Error message when ingesting clip by “Central” – “All screens”

 Start ingest of a lot of keys: long time before window's closed

 520: Selected filter doesn't not appears in gray

 577: Very slow ftp lib may not be successfully managed by the TMS.

 590: Delete a file manually on the library

 603: Scroll bar of the document list

 608: Failed to launch job wrong msg

 609: When adding a library, 30sec is needed to see this lib

 610: When changing configuration of a lib, 5min is needed for the lib to be usable

 612: Ingest 2 CPLs to the lib at the same time

 617: corePatch and Universal Setup

 620: Impossible to patch a TMS 5.6.0.112 with the same patch

 621: Impossible to patch a TMS 5.6.0.112 with the same update package

 623: French plugin installation logged as dutch plugin instead of French

 630: No PKL/Assemet on the path of the library

 633: Vertical Scroll bar in the Content Browser doesn't work

 645: Delete content from lib. No rubbish bin icon (delete in progress)

 646: Ingest content from lib. No arrow icon (ingest in progress), in clip list (lib selected)

 649: When a content id not ingested because corrupted (invalid has code), not comprehensive

message is displayed to the user.

 655: TMS Documents source is not available

 656: Update from 5.6.0 to 5.6.1 doesn't work

 657: Lib removed unexpectedly

 659: Content.TMS service memory leak

2.3.1 Improvements

2.3.2 Software defects fixes

High Severity

 628: R-Tms does not work anymore

 629: EXT3 disks are not detected automatically

 631: Transfers from Doremi servers use Management network instead of Media one

 641: During installation too many jobs are executed at the same time

2.3.3 Workarounds for pending incidents

Workarounds for the following pending incidents are covered by the installation manual:

 630: No PKL/Assemap on the path of the library

 632: Enhance stability and reliability when lots of KDMs are transferred

 640: Instability and performance problems with job requests/execution

2.3.4 New incidents

 656: No upgrade possible from 5.6.0 to 5.6.1

 655: When logged as projectionist or show manager, TMS documents source is not available in

the document viewer. Show manager or super user rights are needed.

2.4 Version 5.6 – March 30

2.4.1 New features

 New document viewer tool

 New network diagnostic tool

 Ingest of lobby licenses and R-TMS

 Online help

2.4.2 Improvements

 Improved health report to include network diagnostic status

 Automated management and detection of screens (SMS)

 Complete redesign of content management, including centralized management of content and

keys

 Centralized management of jobs, with queuing facilities

2.4.3 Limitations

 Sony SMS is not supported

 Dolby might be used, but not officially supported. Dolby will be officially supported in the future.

 233: When there are one or more images in a HTML file, the images are not displayed.

 247: Tools: Document Viewer: XSL files are not linked with XML files

 396: Configuration: No way to add more than one lib

 613: Values of theater name, default language and auto logout, as well as configured camera,

are lost when upgrading from version 5.5.4

2.4.4 Software defects

High severity

 563: Content browser: Lost content of the lib when you change the TMS server

Medium severity

 110: Parts of ingested content are remaining on the server after aborting ingest

 112: For a job concerning a 3D clip (ingest, delete, etc.), there is no display of the 3D

characteristic.

 137: Configuration: Screens are automatically ordered by name. You cannot sort it in a custom

way.

 290: For a scheduled show concerning a 3D clip (ingest, delete, etc.), there is no display of the

3D characteristic

 316: Scheduler: When we stop a scheduled show, the play status is completed instead of

interrupted.

 342: Content browser: No 3D icon for 3D content on Doremi in all Content Browser views

 351: Need to wait to see the KDM available on an USB key. No manual refresh button available.

 354: Content browser: Clip properties for Doremi : Frame rate value is empty

 356: Content browser: Clip properties for Doremi : Sound Frequency value is empty

 358: Content browser: Clip properties for Doremi : Issue Date value is empty

 394: SMS remote control: Solo: Sometimes, no progress bar is displayed while playing show

 522: Configuration: Low performance when saving changed configuration

 528: When ingesting a CPL from an SMS to another, delete requests from source are not allowed

 540: Install: Missing German translation

 543: Installed licenses are not displayed anymore in the System Report page of the Help

 557: When we clear the accepted KDM ingest jobs, they are created again automatically.

 567: Languages: There is no Spanish translation

 574: Content browser: Wrong size if library displayed when lib is added after a provider having

the same IP.

 579: Changing the path of a provider double the number of elements detected

 584: Transfer from Solo to Doremi is not implemented

 594: No French translation is available for the manual.

 595: No Spanish translation is available for the manual.

 596: No German translation is available for the manual.

 608: When a job is not launched (created), we see the error message "Job successfully launch",

which is incorrect.

Pending beta integrator confirmation

Those software defects are strongly related to usage performed by beta customers. The fix is provided,

but solution will be validated on their side:

 576: Content/Ingest: Delivery Manager Provider: automatic jobs always fail
