Introduce young learners to the miracles of a microscope with
My First Microscope! Magnify any small object—flat or dimensional—at
8x with this working microscope. Two extra-large, easy-focus eyepieces,
hand grip, and a soft, rubberized casing make this the perfect first
microscope.

My First Microscope
Install 3 AAA batteries as shown on page 4 in this guide. Place an object
on the specimen tray. Switch on the light. Show your child how to look
through the eyepieces and turn the focusing knob. Encourage him or
her to find different items and examine them under the microscope.
Some interesting things to observe include: toys, money (coins and
bills), leaves, cloth, paper, and food. Ask your child to tell you how the
item looks different under the microscope and what details he or she
notices. Have paper and crayons available for your child to draw how
the item looks both with and without the microscope.

Mi primer microscopio
Introduzca a los jóvenes estudiantes en los milagros de un microscopio con ¡Mi
primer microscopio! Agrande cualquier objeto pequeño, plano o dimensional,
a 8x con este microscopio de trabajo. Dos oculares extra grandes y de
enfoque rápido, mango manual y una cubierta suave de goma lo convierten en el
perfecto primer microscopio.
Uso del GeoSafari® Jr. Mi primer microscopio.
Instale 3 baterías AAA como se muestra en la guía. Coloque un objeto en
la bandeja de muestras. Encienda la luz. Muestre a su niño(a) cómo mirar a
través de los oculares y a girar la perilla de enfoque. Motívelo(a) a encontrar
diferentes artículos y examinarlos debajo del microscopio.
Estos son algunos objetos interesantes para observar: juguetes, dinero
(monedas y billetes), hojas, ropa, papel y alimentos. Solicite a su niño(a) que le
cuente cómo se ven los diferentes objetos debajo del microscopio y los detalles
que percibe. Cuente con papel y ceras disponibles para que su niño(a) dibuje el
aspecto de los objetos con y sin el microscopio.

Límpielo con un paño ligeramente húmedo. Evite sumergir su microscopio en el
agua.
Instalación de baterías
1. Retire con cuidado los tornillos para levantar la puerta del compartimento
de la batería ubicada en el parte inferior.
2. Instale 3 baterías AAA nuevas en el compartimento de la batería, tal como
se muestra.
3. Cierre la puerta del compartimento y ajuste los tornillos.
•No use baterías recargables.
•No mezcle las baterías usadas con las nuevas.
•No mezcle diferentes tipos de baterías: alcalinas,
estándar (carbono zinc) o recargables (níquel - cadmio).
•No recargue baterías no recargables.
•Retire las baterías recargables del juguete antes de
realizar la recarga.
•Solamente cargue baterías recargables bajo la
supervisión de un adulto.
•Solamente utilice baterías del mismo tipo o equivalentes,
tal como se recomienda.
•Inserte las baterías en la polaridad correcta.
•Retire las baterías usadas del juguete.
•Evite cortocircuitos en los terminales de energía.

Wipe with a slightly damp cloth. Do not immerse your microscope in water.
Battery Installation
1. Carefully remove the screw to lift the battery compartment door
located on the bottom.
2. Install 3 fresh AAA batteries in the battery compartment, as shown.
3. Close the compartment door and tighten the screw.
•Do not use rechargeable batteries.
•Do not mix old and new batteries.
•Do not mix different types of batteries:
alkaline, standard (carbon zinc) or
rechargeable (nickel-cadmium) batteries.
•Do not recharge non-rechargeable
batteries.
•Remove rechargeable batteries from the
toy before charging.
•Only charge rechargeable batteries under
adult supervision.
•Only use batteries of the same or
equivalent type as recommended.
•Insert batteries with the correct polarity.
•Remove exhausted batteries from the toy.
•Do not short-circuit the supply terminals.
