IPSUM®
2.1.2 IPSUM® Optimizer connections
Power
The IPSUM® System Optimizer can be powered with 230vac,
24vac or 24vdc. There is a dip-switch to select between 230v
and 24v and there are separate 230v and 24v terminals. A
24v output can be either ac or dc based on the input used.
If the input is 230vac or 24vac it will be a 24vac output. If a
24vdc input is used, it will be a 24vdc output.
1) Power Supply Input (selectable)
230vac +/- 10 %, 3-wire, 50Hz, 0.04A
24vac +/- 10 %, 5.5Va
24vdc +/- 20 %, 110mA
Auxiliary Output Supply
With 230vac Input: 24vac 2.5Va
With 24vac Input: 24vac, 10Va
With 24vdc Input: 24vdc, 0.4A
Supervisor
There is an Ethernet socket for accessing the inbuilt Web
Server, Modbus/TCP & BACnet/IP.
There is a volt free relay output for indicating a common
alarm and 2 low voltage digital inputs for triggering fi re and
free cooling modes. The EIA-485 for Modbus/RTU with an
inbuilt 120Ω termination resistor can be activated using a dip-
switch, this has both terminal and RJ connections.

Air Handling Unit
There is an ethernet socket for Modbus/TCP communication
with the Air Handling Unit. The EIA-485 for Modbus/RTU with
an inbuilt 120Ω termination resistor can be activated using a
dip-switch, this has both terminal and RJ connections.
There are 0-10vdc outputs for supply air, extract air & tem-
perature optimization signals for direct connection to an Air
Handling Unit.

Controller
There is an SD card slot used for software upgrades a reset/
comm button to reset the controller or put the controller in to
commissioning mode (the ethernet & EIA-485 settings are all
changed to defaults to allow connecting a laptop directly).
SD Card
For software updates and extended trend logging.
Comm/Reset
Push button for reset and to trigger commissioning

HMI
For basic setup without a PC/laptop.
System
There is an ethernet socket for Modbus/TCP communica-
tion with IPSUM® System Routers and there an also EIA-485
for Modbus/RTU with an inbuilt 120Ω termination resis-
tor that can be activated using a dip-switch, this has both
terminal and RJ connections and can be connected to either
IPSUM® System Routers or IPSUM® Connection Units.

L.E.D’s
There are 3 RGB L.E.D’s which change colour and fl ash rates
to indicate different conditions/statues, see the operating
manual for details.
