1.2.2 Mounting element with tray of reagents
The mounting element is made of steel profiles. It is ready for wall
mounting and carries the TresCon UNO enclosure together with the
tray of reagents in the correct distance below.
On the tray of reagents, the reagents for the analyzer module are pro-
vided. The tray of reagents has an outlet where spilled liquids can be
drained off.
Reagents Depending on the analyzer module, various reagents are required for
the operation of the TresCon UNO:
Standard solutions
Cleaning solution
Other reagents
The reagents are supplied to the analyzer module via tubes.
Reagent containers The tube connections of the reagent containers are also color coded so
that the tubing can be connected without any problem. The colors cor-
respond to the reagents connections on the analyzer module. This ena-
bles the reagents to be uniquely assigned.
1.2.3 Enclosure
The enclosure of the TresCon UNO consists of a robust synthetic
material. It has a large lockable door on the front. It is opened to switch
the instrument on or off, to operate the controller and to do mainte-
nance work.
The door has a transparent pane so that the measured value can be
read on the outside of the controller and the analyzer module can be
observed during the operation.
The enclosure has the following openings/lead-in ducts on the under-
side:
Drillings to lead in the reagent tubes
Cable glands for relay connection cable, valve control line, interface
cable etc.
Lead-in duct for power cable
Drain drilling for reagents

to the front for installation and service purposes. This enables access
to the following components on the back side of the mounting frame:
Mains power supply unit
Radio modem (option)
Terminal strip circuit board
Reagents overflow system
Components on the back side of the analyzer module
Mains power supply unit The voltage is supplied via a mains power supply unit. The controller
and analyzer module are operated with protective low voltage (24V).

In addition, the measured values can be forwarded to external devices
(e.g. recorder, PC) via the interfaces (RS232, RS485, modem, 20 mA
recorder output).
Record The comprehensive record functions enable
data records to be compiled (analyzer
module-related, time-dependent, etc...) and
the corresponding interval to be individually
optimized.
Report The report function enables the limiting con-
ditions and operating states to be traced in
case of malfunction. This makes trouble-
shooting easier. The instrument configura-
tion can be optimally adapted to individual
operating conditions.

Any other use is unauthorized. Unauthorized use invalidates any
claims with regard to the guarantee.
2.3 General safety instructions
All components of TresCon UNO are constructed and inspected accor-
ding to the relevant guidelines and norms for electronic instruments
(see chapter 7 T
ECHNICAL DATA).
They left the factory in a safe and secure technical condition.
Function and operating
safety
The smooth functioning and operational safety of the instrument can
only be guaranteed if the generally applicable safety measures and the
specific safety instructions in this operating manual are followed during
operation.
The smooth functioning and operational safety of the instrument can
only be guaranteed under the environmental conditions that are speci-
fied in chapter 7 T
ECHNICAL DATA.
If the instrument is transported from a cold environment into a warm
environment, this can cause a functional malfunction through the for-
mation of condensation. In this case, wait for the component to adjust
to room temperature before recommissioning.

3.2 Prerequisites for installation
Waste water A waste water connection that complies with the regulations of the local
water supply must be present at the site where the instrument is loca-
ted.
Sample feed The sample is fed via nontransparent tubes with a recommended inter-
nal diameter of 1.5 mm.
Electrical connection Before connecting the instrument, ensure that the values of the mains
power plug agree with the specifications in chapter 7 T
ECHNICAL DATA
of this operating manual. The mains power plug must have a protective
earth connection.
Location The instrument is intended for operation indoors. Avoid direct solar
radiation. When selecting the mounting wall, the weight of the instru-
ment must be taken into consideration (see chapter 7 T
ECHNICAL DATA).
The wall and mounting material must fulfill the requirements specified
in chapter 7 T
ECHNICAL DATA. Avoid installing the instrument opposite
any bright light source to ensure an optimum image quality of the dis-
play. The space it requires is indicated by the dimensions marked on
the instrument views on the following pages.
Consumables
(reagents)
The type and quantity of the reagents required for operation depend on
the analyzer module.
Note
The consumption of reagents depends on the intervals selected for
measuring and cleaning. For more detailed information, please refer to

3.3 Installing the TresCon UNO
Attention
The mounting, installation and setting up of the instrument must only be
performed by trained specialist personnel after they have carefully stu-
died this operating manual.
The manufacturer reserves the right to reject any warranty claims in
case of noncompliance.
3.3.1 Wall mounting
TresCon UNO is designed for wall mounting using the mounting ele-
ment supplied. This mounting type is described in this chapter. We
recommend to leave enough room between the ground and tray of
reagents so that further containers can be stored below the tray.
Attention
When selecting the fixing elements (screws, dowels etc.) for the moun-
ting element, take into consideration the weight of the instrument (see
chapter 7 T
ECHNICAL DATA) and the quality of the wall. The scope of
delivery does not contain any fixing elements.
