Adding an Acid Neutralizing Filter (PH Plus Kit)
To Your R.O. System
1. Shut off Cold water supply to RO system. Close the tank valve. Turn ON the drinking water faucet to release pres-
sure in system.
2. Fittings: The fittings on the In and Out ports of the filter are the Quick-Connect type fittings. To connect, sim-
ply push the tubing into the fitting tightly. To disconnect, push in and hold down on the “collet” ring (a moveable
sleeve) at the filter port, and pull out the tubing.
3. Remove protective plug from both ends of the pH filter (See Fig. 4). Make sure the “Flow --->” arrow on the pH
filter points to the pure water output direction (to drinking water faucet). If you need to make a longer connec-
tion, extra 1/4” or 3/8” tubing and quick connect union connector are provided.
4. Connection Option 1: To add the pH plus filter onto your RO system
• Cut the water line between Point H and Z, which originally connects the stage-5 filter to the
drinking water faucet. (See Fig. 1).
• Connect Point H to O (In port of the pH filter).
• Connect Point P to Z (Out port of the pH filter). Use the two clips provided to mount pH filter
onto stage-5 filter. (See Fig. 2).
5. Connection Option 2: To add the pH plus filter to the line
• Cut the water line between Point H and Z. (See Fig. 1)
• Add the pH filter to the line (shown as FI-PHPLUS). Please Note: Due to the weight of this filter,
please lay this filter on a flat surface. Do not let it hang on its own weight. (See Fig. 3).
6. Turn on Cold water supply to RO system.
Open the tank valve.
7. Flushing:
Flush 2-3 gallons of water through filter before
using the filtered water.
The pH filter should be added to your R.O. system as a Stage-6 Specialty Filter. Add this filter between the Stage-5
filter and the dispensing faucet as shown in Fig. 2 and Fig. 3.
Connect the Acid Neutralizing filter as follows: See Diagram Below
This kit includes following items:
• 1 PH Plus Inline Filter (FI-PHPLUS-QC).
• 10 ft Tubing.
• 2 Clips.
• 1 Union Connector

Filter Replacement:
Replace pH filter every 6-12 months.
The Calcite media in filter will be depleted
after 6 months.
Replace Filter:
Shut off Cold water supply to RO system. Close
the tank valve. Turn ON the drinking water faucet
to release pressure in system.
Remove old filter from water line. To remove the
tubing Push In and Hold Down on the collet ring
square against the fitting. With the collet held in
this position the tube can be removed.
The new PH filter will come with 2 End Plugs.
Please remove the plugs before connecting the
tubing to the filter.
Turn on Feed water. Open the tank valve. Wait for
RO tank to fill. Flush 2-3 gallons (about 2 tanks)
of water through new filter before using pure
water.
To Disconnect the End Plugs:
Push In and Hold Down on the collet ring square
against the fitting. While holding down the collet
ring, pull out the end plug with your other hand.
Only the plug will slide out from the connection.
