Will Omnipod 5 protect
against highs and lows?
Omnipod 5 helps protect against highs and lows.1,2 Omnipod’s
SmartAdjust™ technology automatically increases, decreases, or
pauses insulin delivery, every 5 minutes based on readings from
the Dexcom G6 Continuous Glucose Monitor (CGM).
Who can use Omnipod 5? Omnipod 5 is cleared for people with type 1 diabetes aged 2 years
and older.
What CGM does Omnipod 5
work with?
The Omnipod 5 System integrates with Dexcom’s G6 CGM
(sold separately).
Can I control Omnipod 5
with a smartphone?
You can take full control of the Pod from the Omnipod 5 App on a
compatible smartphone† or use the free Controller, included at no
additional charge, with your rst prescription for the Omnipod 5
Intro Kit.
What can Omnipod 5 help
me achieve?
Omnipod 5 improved time in range by 9.3% (2.2 hours per day)
in adolescents and adults3 and improved time in range by 15.6%
(3.7 hours per day) in children.4 Very young children aged 2 – 5.9
years old experienced 81% time in range overnight.5
Can I get Omnipod 5 if
I’m under contract with
another pump?
Yes. Omnipod 5 requires no contract or commitment regardless of
any pre-existing durable medical equipment contract or warranty.
Plus you can pick it up at your favorite local pharmacy.
* The Pod has an IP28 rating for up to 25 feet for 60 minutes. The Omnipod 5 Controller and Personal Diabetes Manager (PDM) are not waterproof. The Dexcom G6 sensor and transmitter are water-resistant and may be submerged under eight
feet of water for up to 24 hours without failure when properly installed.
