1.1 Check to see what is the size of water line that you will be tapping into.
1.2 Verify what material your water pipe is made of; Copper, PVC schedule 40/80, Black
Iron or Galvanized pipe.
1.3 If needed, purchase the required ttings and/or materials from your local hardware or
plumbing center to make the connections to the Whole House system. PVC
reducing bushings are recommended if the porting requires reducing.
1: Water Line
2: Mounting of Bracket
2.1 The direction of your water ow through your homes plumbing will determine the way
the bracket is mounted on the lter lid.
2.2 Align the small pattern of hole on the bracket with the hole patterns of the lter lid.
2.3 Using the four 5/16 lag bolts and at washers attach the bracket to the lter lid,
do not overtighten!
*** The lter should be changed every six months or sooner if needed. ***
System Maintenance
To change your lters, shut off the main water supply using the ball valve on the ltration
system and open a faucet downstream of the system to reduce water pressure. The lter bowl
can be removed by turning it clockwise.
Remove old lter and discard. Rinse lter bowl and replace lter. Use a water soluble lubricant
to lubricate the O-ring like olive oil. Make sure O-ring is properly seated when replacing lter
bowl. Do not over-tighten housing.
4.3 Mount the system to the wall using the mounting bracket.
4.4 If purchased 1 inch quick connect ttings (not included) the pipe ends that will connect
to the quick connect ttings should have a clean smooth nish for proper seal against the
inner O-rings. Rough edges should be sanded down to prevent damage to the O-rings or
any part of the quick connect ttings.
4.5 To make a connection, push the water pipe into the quick connect tting until fully
seated. Approximately 1.5” of the water pipe should go into the quick connect tting
when installed properly.
Plumb water line to system while making sure that the ow direction is correct through the lter
system. (IN/OUT)
Note: A manual by-pass may be installed
5: Start-Up
5.1 Open a faucet down stream of the Whole House lter unit.
5.2 Turn on the main water supply and check for leaks at all connections to system.
5.3 Close the faucet down stream of the Whole House Filter unit and check for leaks.
Monitor for leaks for 24 hours after installation.
Note: This system will weight approximately 18 pounds when in service.
4: Connecting to Water Line
4.1 Shut off main water supply and open a faucet down stream to allow draining of water out
of water pipes.
4.2 Cut the water line where the Whole House Filter System is to be installed. Make sure the
location allows for future servicing of the system.
