About the SMARTNotebook Maestro add-on
The Maestro add-on for SMARTNotebook
connects SMARTNotebook software and the
SMARTNotebook app for iPad.
With the Maestro add-on, you can:
l Quickly connect the SMARTNotebook app for iPad to
SMARTNotebook software via Wi-Fi
l Remotely control and interact with lessons from the
SMARTNotebook app on your iPad
l Write notes and manipulate objects on the SMART
Notebook app for iPad and watch your work appear in the
SMARTNotebook lesson you’re presenting on your
SMARTBoard® interactive display.
Requirements
Maestro requires an active subscription to SMARTLearning Suite,
which includes SMARTNotebook, and the SMARTNotebook app
for iPad.
Download and install the SMARTNotebook
Maestro add-on
1. On your computer, open a browser and go to
education.smarttech.com/en/products/notebook/maestro to
download the SMART Notebook Maestro add-on.
2. Run the downloaded notebookmaestro.addon file. When
SMARTNotebook opens and prompts you to confirm the
installation, click OK.
3. Click Done to close the Add-on Manager.
4. In SMARTNotebook, open the Add-ons tab and click
Notebook Maestro.
5. Click Enable Maestro, then restart SMARTNotebook to
enable the connection.
Connect Notebook Maestro
1. Make sure the computer running
SMARTNotebook and your iPad are
connected to the same network.
2. In the SMARTNotebook for iPad app,
tap Connect to SMART Notebook
software.
3. In SMARTNotebook, open the
Notebook Maestro add-on.
4. Scan the QR code with the
SMARTNotebook for iPad app.
TIP
If you have issues connecting, reset your iPad’s network
settings by opening the iPad’s settings, then select
General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
Use the SMARTNotebook for iPad app to
control your lesson
After you’ve connected to your SMARTNotebook lesson, use the
app to control your lesson.
TIP
SMARTNotebook for iPad includes a tutorial that shows you
how to use the app.
