JP3 and JP4 - External Power Selector: These jumpers were used to
provide the external power to pin#58 of the external connector.
JP3 will enable or disable the power over the pin#58. JP4 is used
to select the power source (5V or 12V? from PCIe golden finger
or J3 AUX power connector?).
JP3
Settings
The pin#58 is connected to GND, no
power supplied to DB62s pin#58.
(default)
The external connector DB62

1. Turn the system power OFF before installation!
2. Use static electricity discharge precautions.
3. Remove the chassis cover from your computer
4.
Locate an unused PCI Express slot (typically white and smaller)
and remove the corresponding slot cover from computer chassis.
5.
Plug the I/O card to the unused PCI Express expansion slot and
attached the I/O card bracket to the computer chassis screw.
6.
Installing the supplied DB62-to-DB9X8 octopus cable and serial
cables to your serial devices.
7.
Put the chassis cover back on the computer.
8.
Turn ON the power of your computer and peripherals.
9.
Proceed with Software Driver Installation.
The Multi Serial I/O PCI Express card is plug-and-play so the driver
installation is quite straightforward. Please “Browse” to the correct
path on the Driver CD when Windows asking for the driver’s location.
If your card is the basic model which was shipped with the low baud
rate ( 1.8432MHZ crystal, 115.2Kbps maximum), then you are not able
to support 921.6Kbps speed. If it is the enhanced model that supports
14.7456HMZ crystal, please change the JP2 to HI, then go to the
COM ports settings of Windows’ Device Manager to let it detect the
clock speed automatically.

Note: To check if your card supports high baud rate of
921.6Kbps, please take a look at the crystal Y1 on the cards PC board,
the basic model equipped with 1.8432MHZ and the enhanced model
equipped with a 14.7456MHZ oscillators. The basic model is the current
main model. For enhanced model, you need go to Windows COM
port Properties to detect this input clock automatically and fit this
clock value (see the software setup for more details)
