Multi Serial I/O adapter. The adapter is high speed PCI Express bus
based and plug-and-play compliant. Its serial ports are fully 16C950
UART compatible with most of the RS232C devices available from the
market.

1. Turn the system power OFF before installation!
2. Use static electricity discharge precautions.
3. Remove the chassis cover from your computer
4.
Locate an unused PCI Express slot (typically white and smaller)
and remove the corresponding slot cover from computer chassis.
5.
Plug the I/O card to the unused PCI Express expansion slot and
attached the I/O card bracket to the computer chassis screw.
6.
Installing the DB44 cable to the PCIe Card. Connect the cables for
serial ports.
7.
Put the chassis cover back on the computer.
8.
Turn ON the power of your computer and peripherals.
9.
Proceed with Software Driver Installation.
Note: The drivers for Windows are shipped in the following
folder of the driver CD. PLEASE DO NOT LET WINDOWS AUTO
SEARCH THE DRIVERS ON THE CD, it will cause problems
because the INF files will be conflict in this case. Instead, please
browse to the correct location (folder) manually to make sure the
correct drivers are chosen and installed correctly.

1. When the PCI Card was inserted, it will invoke Windows New
Hardware Wizard. Click Next to continue, select Install from
a list or specific locationAdvanced and click Next .
2. Select Include this location in the search then click Browse
to specify the driver’s location (e.g. E:\IO\OXFORD\XP32 for
Winodws XP, 32-bit) and click Next to continue.
3. Click Next to continue, and click Finish to complete the
installation.
4. To check the Installation, right click onMy Computerand
chooseManage. Choose Device Manager and double click
Ports .
5. Choose the COM port properties as the following figure, select
Data rate
, if the Crystal Frequency is 1.8432MHZ, then your
installation is finished. If it is other frequency (e.g. 14.7456MHZ),
click
Detect Crystal Frequency
6. The
Crystal Frequency
settings will be set to
1.8432MHZ
,
then click
OK
, repeat above steps for the other COM ports if
your PCI Card has multi serial ports.
7. The settings will be saved by Windows. You dont need to
configure it again whenever you restart the system
