1 GPS Tracking System Introduction

Portable GPS Tracker UM660 integrates GPS and GSM functions, which could

send vehicle location and status to mobile and Internet. It utilizes GPS and LBS double

locating. Its advantage is that the builtin battery can last 2 years at reporting interval

every 24hrs. No wires connection. Place and Work. The system structure is as below:

3 Usage Instructions

3.1 LED definition

Note: In battery mode, the LED light will turn off after 3 mins. If the equipment is in

sleep mode, press the wake button for 3 mins with the screwdriver tip, and then release,

the device will work for five minutes then go to sleep mode again.

3.2 Startup

LED Flash On OFF

Green LED GSM/GPRS OK No signal Sleep or OFF

Blue LED GPS OK No signal Sleep or OFF

1. Open the back cover with screwdriver, insert a SIM card with GPRS/GSM/SMS

network into the slot, and make sure the chip side is down. Refer to Picture 1

2. Plug the battery and GPS tracker will automatically turn on. The two LED

indicators turn on. Refer to Picture 2.

3. Close batter cover and tighten screws. Make sure the light-through hole is at right

position with the light sensor. Refer to Picture 3 and Picture 4.

4. With strong magnet, user can put the GPS tracker at any metal place.

4 SMS Operation Instruction

4.1 Set Admin phone number

Message format: admin+123456+space+TEL

e.g. admin123456 13800000000

Reply: admin ok

Delete admin Number

Message format: noadmin+123456+space+TEL,

e.g. noadmin123456 13800000000,

Reply: noadmin ok

When admin number calls device SIM, device will return current location, GPS

valid(V:A) or invalid (V:V), time, speed, battery state, ID, SIM operator, and GSM

base location information. As below :

4.2 Remove alarm

4.2.1 Open remove alarm (Default Open. Alarm type : Call and SMS alert)

SMS Command : SO1, SOS2 or SOS3

4.2.2 Close Alarm

SMS Command : SOS0

4.2.3 Type of alarm :

SOS1 means calling only

SOS2 means SMS alarm only

SOS3 means calling and SMS alarm

4.3 Set IP and Port

SMS Command : adminip123456 104.243.132.242:8000

Reply : SET IP OK ! IP :104.243.132.242#8000#

4.4 Set SIM card APN

SMS command: apn+123456+apn content (The second APN is SIM card APN)

Example : apn123456 CMNET

REPLY : OK ! APN :CMNET

4.5 Working mode explanation

4.5.1 The working time for the frist time when device is turned on is 3 mintues. After 4

mintues, the device will got to deep sleep mode. (GSM OFF GPS OFF GPRS

OFF)

4.5.2 Deep sleeping mode : GSM OFF, GPRS OFF, GPS OFF. Upload GPS data

every 24 hours. When the device uploads GPS data, GSM ON, GPRS ON,

GPS OFF for 5 minutes.

4.5.3 Start GPS Tracking Mode, send SMS command : DW999 Once command is

received, device will stay in this mode forever.

4.5.4 Cancel GPS Tracking mode, send SMS command : DW005 (Device will go to

deep sleeping mode after 5 minutes.)

5 Web Tracking

5.1Login www.gpspos.net to start web tracking service with your own

account

5.2 Download wechat, register a wechat account, search

GPSCARTRACK and follow, login the system with your own account.

6 Cautions

6.1 Keep the unit dry. Any liquid, i.e. rain, moisture, may destroy or da

mage the inside circu.

6.2 Don’t use & store the unit in dusty places.

6.3 Don’t put the unit in overheated or overcooled places.

6.4 Handle carefully. Don’t vibrate or shake it violently.

6.5 Clear the unit with a piece of dry cloth. Don’t clean in chemicals, de

tergent.

6.6 Don’t paint the unit, this may cause some foreign materials left in b

etween the parts.
