Installation Steps).

install your 2.5" drives into the drive cages.
Installation Overview
1. Remove the Mobile Rack Device Mounting Kit
assembly, PCIe card package, cables, and hardware
from the outer box. If you are installing an LTO drive
at this time, remove it from its packaging.
2. If you are not installing an LTO tape drive, go to step 4.
Otherwise, remove the four screws securing the blank
front plate to the Mobile Rack Device Mounting Kit
assembly’s bracket, and then remove the plate.
3. Referring to the Mobile Rack Device Mounting Kit
user’s guide (Chapter III – Installation Steps, A –
Mobile Rack Device Installation Steps), install your
LTO tape drive into the assembly.
4. Locate the cable passthrough opening next to the
assembly’s fan, and then remove the plastic grommet
by pushing it out from inside the assembly.
5. Route the mini-SAS-to-4x internal SATA cable’s
metal connector out through the cable passthrough
opening, and then plug the four smaller connectors
into the drive cage’s ports.
6. If you did not install an LTO tape drive, go to the
next step. Otherwise, route the mini-SAS-to-SAS
cable’s metal connector out through the cable
passthrough opening. Plug in the SAS connector
to the tape drive, and then connect one of the
power supply’s 4-pin connectors to the cable’s 4-pin
connector.
7. Wrap the grommet around the cables, and then
reinstall the grommet into the bracket.
